We walked onto the field, I had my stick in one hand and helmet in the other. There must have been 20 people here.

"But if you play, I'll have no one to talk to on the bench." Stiles said to me, trying to talk me out of trying to make first line.

"I'm tired of being every ones push bag, it's time I make first line and it's time I show everyone what I'm made of."

Stiles and I were about to walk away towards the bench to sat our stuff down when Coach stopped me. "McCall, you're on goalie." He said to me not looking me directly in the face as he threw the equipment at me.

"I've never played." I said to him, I'm pretty sure doing goalie isn't gonna help me make first line. And I'm not even sure how I made the team in the first place, seeing as I actually suck and I've never made a shot, let alone will I catch one.

"Yea I know, the guys need a little motivation, get some quick shots off of you to boost up their adrenaline." He said to me as he blew his whistle to stop some playful fighting going on across the field.

I stood in between the goal, then I saw Lydia and Allison come into the stands and sit down. I tried not to stare at them and make anything obvious.

"Who'se that?" Allison asked Lydia, looking at me. I listened in close, which was really easy considering my heightened senses.

"Him? I have no-idea" Lydia said as she starred at me in confusion. As I said before I'm a nobody, I cocked my head towards them.

"Why?" Lydia asked as she took her eyes off of me and looked at the boys while playing in her ginger hair.

"He's in my English class" she said, of course she remembers me, I gave her a pen out of the blue, and I had a panic attack in the middle of the hallway, great first impressions.

Just then coach blew the whistle really hard and I fell to the ground in agony covering my ears. I noticed that if I was listening in on something, anything alarming and loud would pull me out of it and make my ears ring, just like in the hall.

As I was still on the ground covering my ears in pain the first person lined up, He hitched his leg up and tossed the lacrosse ball towards the goal I was standing it. As I removed my hands from my ears I didn't even have my stick in hand, and the ball came slamming straight into my face.

It knocked me back and I laid on the ground. "Nice catch with your face McCall." I heard someone shout through the laughter of almost everyone out on the field.

I got back up and positioned myself for the next ball. I had to make first line, if I didn't I could just kiss my chances with Allison goodbye and go back to handing out random pens and eavesdropping on hot girls.

The next guy came up and tossed the lacrosse ball, I was prepared for it to hit me, but it felt like time slowed down and the ball was coming at me in slow motion. I put my net where I thought the ball was going to land and sure enough, I caught it.

The Coach gasped dropping the whistle from his mouth, as Stiles shouted "Yea!" towards me as he was sitting on the bench.

One by one other guys started to throw their lacrosse balls towards me from their nets and I caught every last one.

"He looks like he's pretty good." Allison said starring at me. "Yea, very good" Lydia replied with an impressed smile on her face.

I guess I made someone angry, because just then our teams best player Jackson came up. He pushed through to the front of the line and dared anyone to say anything about it. He threw the ball my way at full force as he landed in the air.
