Down the trail towards the river, a man in white tuxedo sat. The night is cold due to the rain and there he sat, alone. He is holding something with his hand and caressing it with the other.
Curiosity took over me so I came near the man and I saw that he's crying. I realized that the object he's holding is a photograph. It's kinda blurry because of the raindrops and the moist forming on the frame. The picture looks very familiar to me-- a girl in a red cocktail dress smiling with the man in white beside her.
Then, after a long silence, the man said to himself, "This is the place where I last saw you, this is my last photograph with you. This is the last day I was able to hug you. Now, I'm wearing the last clothes of mine that you were able to see and touch, from tie to shoes." he paused, weeping then continued, "I miss you Y/N, I love you."
I shrugged at the sound of the girl's name. I looked to myself, wearing a red cocktail dress. Tears started to fall from my eyes. I tried to touch him, to hug him, to feel him. But, I failed.
So this is why the picture was very familiar. The girl, her smile, her dress- it's the last reflection I saw on the mirror on the 27th day of July last year. And the man, my man. It's him, it is I, it's us.
He don't seem to feel my presence and it hurts so much.
"Stop crying. Please, for me, stop crying. I may be gone but I'll always be with you. I love you, Kyu." I tried to tell him. How I wish for him to hear me.
Tears continue to fall as I remembered everything that happened. Ah, it's been a year now. It's my sister's debut celebration. The venue is just across the river and we went out to have some time for ourselves. We're sitting down on the river bank, where I'm standing right now.
Then, I looked behind me and saw a man that points a gun to Kyu. And just before the bullet reached him, I used myself as a shield to protect him. The bullet striked me on the chest, and it went directly to my heart.
I heard Kyu shouting for help but it's too late. Everything went black and our story ended.
