When Dinah Jane got back from her hometown, she felt emptier than before. She felt guilty for leaving her mother once again, but she needed to go back. She was going back to school tomorrow. After that, at 4PM she had to be at her second job.

The week she spent in the house she grew up in was honestly overwhelming and not in a good way. Seeing her dad in that state, not being able to do anything except from blinking, moving his arms and sometimes saying a few words, was hurting her. It is horrible to see your father like this after him being active when you were younger. It saddened her that her little brother will remember her father as someone that needed to be taken care off and not as the funny, energetic and caring father she grew up with.

It was a rainy Sunday night in Jersey City and the 24 year old girl din't know what to do. At moments like these she would call her best friend and ask her to do something together but then, Briannah lived in Miami.

The only friends she had right now are her colleagues. She made a few friends in the beginning she moved here but turned out that they weren't being real with her. Also, they were all pretty much homophobic. The 'friends' became more distant when Dinah Jane told them she liked girls and saw herself getting married to a woman.

Dinah always knew she was attracted to girls. She admired girls for how caring they could be for each other. She loved how girls understood each other at times and just... She loved girls. Because... Girls are girls. They were soft. They made her soft.

That didn't mean she didn't like boys. She had a few boyfriends and was happy with them. Even though almost every single one ended up taking her for granted.

She's also had a few girlfriends. They were all sweet and all, but not what she was looking for. The first one couldn't handle the fact that Dinah wasn't out yet. The second one broke up with the blonde because she was moving to New Jersey.

And there never came a third one.

She met one girl, her name started with an A or something, but that ended after a day or three. A, or whatever her first initial was, wasn't ready for commitment and Dinah Jane wasn't ready either. So... They just spent about three days having meaningless sex. I won't go full in detail, don't worry.

But the point is, she needed to meet someone new. Someone that could get her to be more interested in life. Someone that... loved her. Someone that she can love.

Dinah wasn't the person to be alone. Even though she had been alone for about two years now... She still had needs to fulfill. For now it was just her and her right hand, sometimes even a little toy when she felt like it.

The Polynesian girl was determined to meet a new person. She hoped she didn't have to wait too long. But then she didn't want to give herself false hope or expectations that were too high.

When it was 11PM, Dinah decided to go to bed and get some rest. She had to get up at 6:30AM to be at her job in time and she wasn't exactly the person to wake up early. Dinah Jane had set up about 6 alarms, knowing that she needed every single one.

She had one set for 5:25AM (Usually she would just sleep through this one), one for 5:40 AM (And... Through that one too), 5:50AM (By now she should wake up). Also, one for  6:00AM (Of course, Dinah had fallen asleep again.), 6:10AM (Her eyes were open now and she was scrolling through her phone already), 6:20AM (She just ignored this one) and the last one for 6:30AM. She just got up then and made herself some tea. She also made herself some toast with strawberry jelly on it.

She then brushed her teeth, took a shower and did her hair. Later, when it was almost time to leave, she did her makeup. She would wear as less makeup as she could when teaching. Dinah applied some mascara and lipgloss. That's all. Oh, and some lip balm after she showered.
