Ross’s P.O.V
Tonight was just one of those nights for me. I couldn’t sleep so I decided to take a walk for a bit. Everything was quiet until I heard someone crying. I couldn’t help but follow the noise to the park a few yards away. Normally it was empty when I would walk by but this time there was a girl perched on one of the branches of a large oak tree.
I walked up to the tree and without thinking I said, “Um excuse me?” Her sobs suddenly stopped and she sat frozen. Another ten seconds went by before she slowly raised her head above her knees to look at me. I couldn’t tell what she looked like because the leaves of the tree were blocking the moonlight from reaching her.
Realizing she wasn’t going to talk, I spoke up. “Are you okay?” I asked sincerely as I walked toward the tree slowly, trying not the scare her. I was at the tree as she began slowly nodding her head. I attempted to look her in the eye but again the tree was blocking any light from hitting her.
“Don’t lie to me,” I said. I honestly wanted to help this girl out. She looked like she was in a moment of need. I swear I saw her narrow her eyes at me as I began to climb the tree and sit next to her.
I could see her nice and clear now, well at least the top half of her face. She had dirty blonde hair that was just passed her shoulder blades and faint freckles that were still big enough to see in the dark. Then suddenly a beam of moonlight shone through one of the branches and I could finally make out details of her face. I felt my jaw drop slightly as I saw her chocolate brown eyes that were staring directly at me. They shone beautifully in the moonlight and I could just make out all of the emotion packed into them and the bags beginning to develop under them.
I shook myself out of my thoughts and looked down at her.
“Don’t wanna talk about it do ya?” I whispered. She quickly shook her head and buried her head back into her knees. I let out a sigh and put my hand on her shoulder so she’d look at me again. When she did, I removed my hand and shot her a smile.
“So why don’t you tell me about yourself?” I asked.
“Why don’t you fuck off?” she shot back at me. I couldn’t help but chuckle at her feistiness.
“Ahh so she does speak,” I said with a smile. She let her right leg go flat as she continued to look forward and I continued to take her in. I could now see the bottom half of her face and it was just as gorgeous as the top half. Her little button nose was covered with freckles as well as her cheeks. Her lips were pink and plump and her chin stuck out the tinniest bit. She could probably sense me looking at her because she glanced over at me.
She finally turned toward me with a smile creeping upon her lips. “Alright alright what do you want to know?” she asked. I felt my smile grow and I shrugged my shoulders.
“Everything,” I spoke truthfully. She rolled those perfect eyes and giggled a little bit. Even her laugh was adorable and perfect.
“Seems a little much for just meeting me doesn’t it?” she spoke, shooting me a smile with her beautiful straight teeth.
“Okay then, let’s start with your name,” I replied.
"My name’s Addisyn Renee Murkowski, or Addi as everyone calls me,” she paused, noticing my smile.
“What?” she questioned?
“No no no keep going,” I urged her.
“Umm well I’m seventeen years, I go to Reynolds High School, and there I’m in color guard, on the dance team and softball team. Um I’m an only child and I enjoy singing and writing. Currently I’m trying to get a singing career started but it’d hard with school and stuff. And that’s all I’m comfortable telling you,” she finished.
