"Honey you're finally going to become a lawyer. Im so proud of you!" mother said hugging me. "Yeah, pretty happy too." I clutched my degree in my hand and bit my lip. "Look at that my is all grown up!" Father said with a huge smile. My dad snaps a picture with my mother and I together. I take off my cap and meet up with my friends. "Hey guys what's up." Veronica turns with a smile and welcomes me into the conversation they talking about. "Guys tell what Kathrine what we are going to do once we get outta here." she said with her hand on my shoulder. My friend Zack fills me in on conversation and says. "And after dinner we're gonna go to the cove." he said telling the group. "That sounds fun you guys when is this going to happen?" I asked the group. "We pretty much thought it would all happen after seven." Callie told me. "Oh, cool." I said with excitement. "But my cousin is coming with us to along with his best bud Oliver." Callie told me. "Oh, no that's fine I'm totally cool with that." I said to Callie. Suddenly my parents started to call my name. "Kathrine, it's time to go!" Mother said calling out to me. "Uh, hold on one second mom I will be there in a minute." I said calling out to her. You would think that she would be fine with what I said but according to mom that didn't seemed to work for her. She starts making a dramatic scene about it. In public, around everyone. She goes on and on about how disrespectful I am to her, and how I need to start to showing more respect. And on top of that she says that I shouldn't dare to call her mom ever again. Tell my friends that I will meet up with them later. And I go and take care of my dramatic mother. "Mom, you couldn't wait just a second to let me finish?" I told her as I walked to the car. "How dare you call me mom! Who do you think you are? Get into the car now!" she opens the door and slams it in my face. She then storms over to the passenger seat. My father started the car and we drove back to the house. "Kathrine if you want to be a lawyer then you must mature up soon. Because what just happened back there was not acceptable." she turns to my father and gives him a look. I stare out my window waiting for another lecture to come and hit me. The whole car ride home was full of lectures and arguments. I honestly could take anymore of the whole respecting your mother thing. I do everything she wants me to do and expects perfection. I do just that and she still has something rude to say. They won't even let me choose my own career path for my future. So I'm stuck with being a lawyer and not with what I dreamed for. All my life being a singer was a dream of mine. I currently have a secret job at a bar. Basically I just sing there, which I highly enjoy. But if my parents find out they would kill me. They never really believed of being accepted in the music industry. They think that the whole singing thing is just plain stupid, and "unprofessional." So keeping that a secret can be pretty difficult. When we finally got home my mother was still making a scene about it. Along with my father adding on to the mess. I honestly couldn't handle the situation so i just ignored them and ran up into my room. Where texted the group chat. (My friends from the graduation) we all decided to meet up at the bar where I would be performing. So once the time came I got ready. I walk downstairs trying not to make a sound. And I finally got out of the house and snuck over to Callie's house. Where I parked my car at. We both hopped into the car and drove to the bar. When we finally got there my friends were there with two extra people that I had no idea who they were. Callie and got out of the car and introduced me to her older brother and her friend. Axel. All I could say is that once I met Axel, he pretty much made a huge change in my life. Not only he got me to where I was now but he also did so much to give him a million reasons why I loved him...
