The Route To China

Ch. 9: <3

  No one needed to tell me the rest of the story for me to figure out what happened. I chose a handsome successful actor over Jose. I'm ashamed of myself for being so shallow. Jose was there for me and he waited for me. He didn't deserved to be turned down for some guy with higher status. That kind of stuff doesn't matter to me. I'll go back to the school, find information about Jose and apologize for everything. Hopefully its not too late. As for this house. I'm never coming back.

"Dina?" Jin came up behind me. "Are you going somewhere?"

Oh somebody, please!

"Jin! -I thought you were taking Nicole to where she needed to be"

"No, she has a personal driver. I was just seeing her out"

"Oh, well I'm just... taking a walk. And I brought some clothes just in case I get sweaty and want to change"

"Can I join you?"

"I think I wanna go alone right now...to think" I say awkwardly.

"Okay, but before you go Nicole said I should continue the story for her"

"O-okay" This wasn't part of the plan but maybe something he says will help me find Jose.

"Let's go somewhere else" He grabbed a checkered blanket. He took me to the top of a mountain and layed the blanket down. "I know how much you like nature" He lied down.

"Yeah" I also lied.

Beep

"Your phone went off" I told him.

I watched as he unlocked his device with his fingerprint. His screen saver was a picture of him with two little black boys.

"Who are they?" I asked.

"My handsome sons. I miss them so much" He sighed.

"W-we have children?!"

"Yeah twins, I didn't tell you cause I thought it'd be too overwhelming" He said.

"They're so cute. How old are they? -wait, where are my babies now?" I panicked.

"Two years old" He smiled. "They are in America with your parents. Lai was suppose to come with them yesterday but I asked her not too anymore because you lost your memory"

"Oh...Can I at least see more pictures of them?"

"Haha sure" most of Jin's pictures were of the boys. It seems like he really does love them. He's always with them. I see many pictures of me as well, but its weird seeing myself do things I don't remember. -This doesn't change anything though. I'm still going to Jose.

"Please continue the story" I hand his phone back.

"Well, you took Nicole's word seriously and stopped going to school. You were a full time actress who practiced day and night. It was really admirable" He nodded. "Yeah and it was like three months and your little sister came to visit you"

***Flashback Continued***

"I just want you to know that I came to see Jin and you, but mostly Jin" Sandra said. She's been begging my parents to come here since she knew who I was working with.

"Looks like your drumming career is going well"

"Yeah, but it'd be cool if Jin gave me a shout out. Think about it. A shout out from BTS? -Dina, is it me or does Jin keep looking this way"

"Its probably you"

"Yeah you right"

"Hey San, there's snacks and refreshments-"

"WHERE?"

I laughed at her excitement towards snacks. "There" I pointed to where most of the actors hung out after their scene.

"Hi, did you know its break time" Jin said coming up to me.

"Yep. And good work today" I bowed.

"I know a place with better food" He said. "I feel like going there. Can you also come?" He said that so weird but I held in my laughter.

"As long as its not too far. I have to stay close with my little sis"

"Its across the street"

So went into a tiny little bakery with really good cookies. Jin was sitting in front of me kind of nervous.
"So you know BTS?"

"Yes"

"You like?"

"Yes"

He smiled. "Who is your bias?"

"Probably Suga?"

Jin almost choked on his cookie. "W-what! Why?"

"Cause he has tongue technology and 3 dolla"

"Hahaha. Okay okay, but who is the most talented?"

"Hmm, I'd say Jhope"

"B-but -Is it cause he dances well? I can do that too" Jin got up and did a really ridiculous routine.

"Hahaha bravo bravo" I say.

He sat back down, pleased with himself. "And the best actor of BTS?"

"V"

"Aishi, now you just want to hurt me" He says.

"Haha, yeah that one was a joke. Don't be upset, its totally you"

"Dina, you sacrificed a lot to be on this set, for that I am grateful" He bowed. "Your are always so excited and enthusiastic, it makes me want to give my all aswell"

"Thank you Jin. You are an inspiration yourself"

He stared at me for a long time until it became uncomfortable.

"-Do you think you are mature?"

"-I guess"

"-Does age matter to you?"

"-what?"

"-date me"

"-whoa, really?"

"I'm eight years older than you but I think I'm obsessed with you" I was shocked, but he didn't look like he was playing around. I knew Jin liked me but I didn't know he liked me. And what about Jose? This was his last week of school in China. He never broke up with his girlfriend though and I figured out he has a reputation for talking to other chicks since his girl is too passive to say anything about it.

***End of Flashback***

"And you chose me" Jin said.

"Of course I chose you' I wrapped my arms around his neck. "How could I not choose such a quirky goofball like you?"

"Wait, do you remember?"

"Yeah, since the part where you were dancing haha"

"Dina!" He hugged me and kissed me while crying. "It was so hard. Did you actually think I could drink out with friends when I was so worried about you? No! I went alone then cried at Nicole's place. No more traditional drinks, ever again."

"Why is that even a thing?"

He layed his head on top of mine while holding me. "Jose was some tough competition. Thank you for choosing me"

"Not even. He was a player...but he seemed so sincere, I wonder..."

"-Dina, guys don't change that easily"

"You're right. Let's go get our children. I miss them so much"

While Jin called Lai, I folded up the checkered blanket. Losing my memory has ironically reminded me of how fortunate I am. For Nicole, for Jin, for Lai.

Thank you God, thank you China.

"Are you coming, honey?" Jin called.

"Yes" I ran to him. He held my hand and smiled at me warmly.
