Mysterious hooded people.

~<Sorry I haven't been writing for a while I just had writers block and I have also been working on another story. It's a Attack On Titan Fanfic called Soldier With Wings of Freedom.>~

We were sitting in a corner of the restaurant of the Inn we were staying at. It had been raining and thundering ever since we got here. The room was light by lanterns and candles. There wasn't many people here but there was a group that were wearing black hoods.

"Neji?" I whispered as he took a sip of his hot drink.

"Yes?"

"Do you see those people behind me?" I asked and I saw his eyes move over to them. Then he quickly looked back at me and nodded.

"They have been following us since we crossed the border."

"You sure?" He asked and I nodded.

"What should we do then?"

"Well I have three theories: One they could be just traveling of the road not wanting to be seen by anyone. Two they could be spying on us because were in their country."

"I highly doubt your first theory-"

"My third one is: They could be after the scroll or the man were diverging it to."

"Yea, it's a little to soon to tell yet.... But we should keep our guard up." He said and I nodded.

I could feel there eyes on us as if there watching our every move. I don't recognize what type of chakera they have and it makes me nervous.

Later that night we had gotten ready for bed and we tried to go to sleep. Neji had managed but I couldn't sleep. There was no light in the room but at random lighting would flash and the room would light up. There was two small beds in the room one was by the window and Neji was asleep in it. The other was on the other side of the room and that was my bed. I was sitting on my bed staring at the wall thinking about random things. My hair was down and it was covering my eyes as I grabbed the bed sheet. My hands and teeth were clinched as I closed my eyes.

'Damn it! What are you thinking Sasuke? How could you just run away and join a man who wants to kill you?!' I thought as lighting flashed. I still had feelings for Sasuke and sometimes that would be all I thought about. I have been having dreams about him being tortured or him turning into a snake. I had this one dream were he stabbed me with a knife and he would call me names saying stuff like 'How could you have left me that night!' 

 

I heard a noise outside my door and my attention went to the door. As I stared at the door foot steps appeared underneath it. The door knob started shaking then suddenly stopped.

"Are you trying to wake them! There from the Leaf Village so their most likely skilled ninja!" Someone.

I quickly but quietly ran over to Neji and covered his mouth as I woke him up. He looked at me confused and I pointed at the door then he nodded. i removed my hand and we quickly grabbed are things. I had thrown the scroll in my back pouch as we grabbed are cloaks and jumped out the window and climbed up onto the roof. Once we got far away he decided to start asking me questions.

"What was that about?"

"I am not quite sure, but they know that were from the Leaf!" I said and he nodded.

We finally got to our location and it wasn't what we expected. It looked like an old rundown shack. We walked up to the door and knocked. As the door swung open a crazy looking man with long brown hair and a short beard poked his head out.

"You have my scroll I assume?!" He said crazy like and we both nodded. Then out of nowhere someone jumped behind me and reached into my back pouch and grabbed the scroll. I turned around and saw a hooded figure jumping away from me and started running.

"Hey! Get back here!" I yelled and I took of chasing after him.

I chased him into the woods and his buddies started attacking me. I jumped back and kicked the first guy of of the way and I flipped over the next one. I was surprised when they didn't use any jutsu's or anything they just kept coming after me. Neji caught up to me and we reached the man with the scroll. He was stopped by the edge of the cliff.

"Hand over the scroll." Neji said and the man pulled out a sword. He turned around and charged at Neji and he blocked it with a Kunia knife as I jumped in the air to kick him in the head. Right before I kicked him he ducked and punched me in the gut making me fly back wards. i rolled in the dirt as i grabbed my stomach and he ran up and kicked me in the face. He kicked me again and I slid off something and when I looked I noticed I was about to fall off the cliff. I grabbed onto the edge of the cliff but because of the mud my hand slipped.

"Marrissa!" I heard and then everything went black.
