Koine

I walk into rehearsals for my duet with Kiki for the week and he's not there. "Val where's Kiki." I said to our choreographer Val, "He's never this late!" "I know. He's never this late. Somethings up with him and it's not good."

I place my bag on the floor and pull out my phone to call Kiki. "Hello?" he said when he picked up. He sounded like he just met a ghost or something. "Kiki where are you?!?!" I exclaimed into the phone. "I'm on my way." He said firmly "I'll be there soon." He hangs up.

"I bet you it's that Taylor girl. She doesn't seem healthy for him." Val says walking over to me as I put my phone in my bag. "I'm friends with both of them." I say sitting on the ground to put my heels on "He always tells me the good things about her and she tells me the things she says to him. Trust me Val, I know how bad this is for him." I say as I stand up and face Val. "I know I know, I wish he would see that too."

We talk for a few more minutes until Kiki walked into the rehearsal studio. "Hey, Are you ok?" I say walking over to him. "I'm fine." He says ticked off. I turned my head to Val and he shrugged. "Ok let's rehearse." Kiki grabs my hand and we walk over to Val.

Kiki had left rehearsals as soon as it was over. "He seemed out of it." I said facing Val in the middle floor. "Yea, He's never this out of it, ever." Val says grabbing his stuff and walking towards me.

"Hey guys." Jenna says skipping into the studio and running over to Val. "Hey J-Bug." Val says kissing the top of her head. "Hey Koko." She said giving me a hug. "Have either of you seen Kiki recently." She asks stepping back and facing the both of us. "I don't know." I said "He's probably with her." I let out a little giggle and roll my eyes. "We'll go find them." Jenna says giggling and grabbing Vals hand as we walked out of the studio.

Jenna and Val lead the way down to the break room and I follow close behind them. Jenna  turn left to take Val out to his car and leaving me to face the end of the hallway. And sure enough, there they were, at the end of the hallway.

Dassy slightly walks out of the break room, grabs my wrist, and pulls me into the room. "You can't do that to yourself Koine." Dassy whispers to me. "I know but it does." I say as I throw myself back into the couch. "Does she ever say anything about him." Dassy says facing me "She is your roommate after all." "Why do you always think I'm with you and Kaylee, cause he's always there." I say trying not to get my self worked up over this.

Kiki and Taylor walk in and I shed a tear. Dassy and Kaylee grab my hand and walk me to the bathroom. "I hope he understands what he's getting himself into." I think to myself as I wash my face off in the sink.
