Eliót's POV:
The much needed shower; relaxed my achy joints and muscles. Working away all the stress of today. When I finally emerged from the luxurious spray, my floor length mirror, fogged my reflection steam swirled around me. I'll be here no matter what...I meant everyword I had uttered to Zàchariah Lin Winston. It didn't change the fact I wish to swallow them back up.
Pulling on a freshly pressed blouse, dress slacks and a pair of shiny business shoes, an stuffing my wallet in my breaches I headed to work.
My friend/coworker, Lindy was busily copying and filing the latest cases of the week in cabinets. Sitting her coffee down, I turned to my own desk.
Folders, documents and tasks up to my neck sat neatly on the corner of the Mahogany desk."Eliót, could I have a word?"
Nikolas's voice cut me from the silence that enveloped my office. Sitting the Mendes File down I turned to Nik. "Yes?" His grey eyes bore holes in my flesh and gave me chills even after two years of working for the chit.I was about to make a snarky, quip but the last person I wanted to see surfaced in the door.
"Mr. Winston! Glad you could accompany us! Have a seat."
Zero stepped further into the room, his 6'2 frame taking up majority of the room. When he finally took a seat; he sat dangerously close to me. His leg brushing my own and his knee bouncing anxiously.{After Nik leaves}
Zero didn't move.
His breaths coming in steady inhales and exhales. I wanted to ask why he was here. Why when I maybe giving up and settling for friends?Fortunately, he freed us from the awkwardness. "El-Eliót..I was wrong..I never should have kissed you at V&R..this all started at the damn club! And I went too far. I'm sorry for unfastening your jeans, for dragging you to my PR. I am so sorry for this all...everything but the kiss."
Like always; I didn't get a chance to respond. And like routine after we confess or bitch about something we kissed. Someway, our lips found each other.
