Chapter 8

my eyes flutter open as i take in my new surroundings. it was bright, almost too bright, lime mint green walls. there was a beeping sound that was starting to get on my nerves. i turn to see my heartbeating on a screen with a green line indicating im alive. were in a hospital. everything just cam rushing back to me. me being kidnapped, my powers gone, calling the police.

A nurse walks in with a clip board. "oh! ur awake! i will go notify ur family." she walked out of the room and seconds later my mom came rushing in like a lighting bolt.

"honey!!!" she runs over to me dropping her purse. "I thought i lost you!" i hugged my mom back tightly.

"i thought i lost myself." my mother got out of the hug and looked at me with concerned eyes.

"what honey?"

"oh, nothing." i look down at my fighting hands.

"This must have been so traumatic for you, im sorry you had to go through this. every since dad is gone-"

"mom, im fine." i look up at her and force a smile. she docent seem pleased with it but smile back and a tear falls down her face.

"im just glad to have you back."

Just then a few people walk in.

"hello ms. murphy." my mom nods at them, wiping away the stray tear that had fallen down her face a second ago.

"And you must be (y/n)" i nod at them just like my mother had.

"we are detectives and if you dont mind, may we ask you a few questions."

"sure." they sit down next the my bed and they pull out a notepad.

"ok, first things you were probably wondering why you were kidnapped." 'I feel bad for her this is a lot to take in for a sixteen year old'

i can hear there thoughts! my psychic powers must be back.

"we dont know why you were kidnaped but we have found out that your bloodline father was a part of this." I my eye's shot up to him. "my father?"

"Yes, we did not find him but we had gotten info from people that were arrested. we are sorry we could not get him" a stray tear falls down my face. great now my father is after me.

"James was up to this!" my mother's face turns red with anger and you can see a vein sticking out on her forehead. "WHY would he WANT to kidnap my daughter!" she clenches her fists.

"ma'am please calm down, we dont know yet." 'what has this family been through.' a lot actually!

"ok, im sorry, continue." she gestures toward me and they all turn there attention toward me.

"ms. do you know why you were kidnapped." i do know why, but i cant tell them. they would know about my powers and would take me away.

"no, i dont." i look down.

"ok, moving on, can you describe the appearance of the people who had kidnapped you?" I nod respectively and give them all the details. they soon leave after a long period of questioning, it had got my head hurting so i lay down and fall asleep.

I woke up to a different surroundnigs, it was my room. i sat up feeling completely fine. my healing powers must have kicked in. i yawned and went downstairs. my mom was cooking bacon and eegs. i sat down at the table.

'i should let her stay home from school, she has had a rough past few days and i dont want to make it harder on her.'

"Oh! honey ur awake!"

"yeah, i feel much better now."

"good. good." she hugs me. "want some breakfast."

"yes please!" im really hungry considering the fact that i couldn't eat.

she hands me a plate of bacon and eggs and a piece of toast. "hope you like it i made it with love" she emphasis the word love and i almost choc on my food.

we both laugh and the room goes silent again.

"honey, you can stay home, you dont half to go to school."

"its fine mother, i dont want to miss any more than what i have."

she frowns but they grabs my back pack and hands it to me.

"ok be safe." i nod and walk out the door.

_______AT SCHOOLI BOI______

I walk into class with all eyes on me. great, just what i needed.

'didn't she get kidnapped or something.' 'poor girl' 'ew, shes wearing a hoodie.' exuse me hoodies are comfortable.

My eyes glaze over everyone and they land on Saiki's. he looking back with concerned eyes. since when is he concerned. he quickly goes back to his no emotion face and i walk towards my seat next to him.

he turn to me. "hey y/n. i heard what happened are you ok?"

"yes perfectly fine!" i say almost to fast and put a smile on my face. again forced.

i turn to my notebook before he could day anything else and start doodling. i pull my hoodie over my head.

everything wasn't fine. my father was abusive and had kidnapped me, i left my home town and all my friends. i am emotional distressed right now. a small tear runs down my cheek and i quickly wipe it away. Saiki noticed but didn't say anything. probably for the better.

RING RING (idk why but typing ring ring is so cringy to me)

"morning class. welcome back Y/n." i do a small wave and look back down at my notebook.

"Ok class we have another transfer student. his name is Conner Forest."

My eyes shot up to the front of the class.

i look at him with wide eyes. he looks back at me and his eyes go wide too.

my childhood best friend has come to my school!!!!
