After a long and grueling night of Chloe still ignoring her, Beca spent hours preparing Chloe's make up present. Beca wasn't much of a cook, in fact, she wasn't a cook at all. The only thing she excelled at was two-minute noodles and other pre-made things that had to be put in a microwave or heated over the stove. But when it came to Chloe, Beca was Clare Smyth in the kitchen.

Beca had prepared a dozen vanilla cupcakes with strawberry icing for Chloe since it was the redhead's favorite treat. Beca had burnt the first batch and put too much sugar in the icing the second time, but the third time was the charm and Beca had nailed it. The cupcakes were perfect and they were ready for consumption.

Taking a nervous breath, Beca grabbed the cupcakes and went upstairs to her and Chloe's room. The door was open, allowing Beca to head straight inside to find her girlfriend sitting on their bed in her pyjamas with her laptop in front of her. Chole had been studying while Beca had been cooking. Chloe had no idea what Beca was doing since she was deep in her studies.

Beca closed the door with her foot then approached Chloe.

"Hey, Chlo, I made you something." Beca placed the plate of cupcakes on the bedside table next to Chloe. The redhead looked down at them, surprised how perfect they were, but she didn't show it.

"Listen," Beca sat across from Chloe. "I'm sorry that I upset you. I meant it when I said that Kommissar intimidated me. She was so confident and so sure that her team was the best. After what happened with Fat Amy in front of the President... my confidence was torn down and after receiving hate mail after hate mail, being yelled at in the streets, and being suspended from ICCA... I felt worthless. Seeing DSM perform so boldly and confidently in front of all those people was the last nail in the coffin for me."

Beca rubbed her tired eyes.

"I need you to know that Kommissar doesn't have an effect on me like you think. She just intimidated me and I couldn't deal with it. I've tried so hard to keep everything together at school and at work... and it's just been really hard."

Chloe's gaze softened when she noticed how much emotion Beca put into her rhetoric. She soon began to feel guilty about giving Beca the silent treatment all day.

"Chlo..." Beca looked up into the redheads beautiful blue eyes. "I'm not attracted to Kommissar. She doesn't even compare to you. You're the only woman I see and I can't imagine being with anyone else but you. When I met you I was intimidated by you because you were so beautiful, bright, bubbly, kind, caring, and sweet. I fell in love with you and I fall in love with you more and more each day."

While she still had confidence, Beca reached forward and took Chloe's hand, relieved when the older woman didn't pull away.

"I love you, Chloe Beale. I'm going to marry you one day and grow old with you whether you like it or not because I can't live without you."

Chloe blushed with a small smile.

"So... Do you forgive me?"

Chloe's smile broadened as she nodded. "Yes, I do."

"I can't wait to hear those words on our wedding day. Come here," Beca leaned forward and met Chloe in the middle for a kiss.

Chloe fed her hands into Beca's hair as they held their lips together for several moments before pulling away.

"You made these?" Chloe turned to the cupcakes.

"I did." Beca stated proudly.

"They look amazing."

"Try one."

"Okay." Chloe giggled then bit into one. "Mm..."

"Good?"

"Mm-hm."

"Oh, thank God. I thought they were going to be awful. I burnt the first batch."

"Is that what I could smell? I thought that was Fat Amy experimenting in the kitchen again."

"No, it was me."

The couple shared a laugh, then Chloe moved over when Beca sat next to her. Beca looked at the cupcake and took a bite when Chloe held it in front of her mouth.

"Mm... They are good, aren't they?" Bece mumbled.

"You did well, munchkin." Chloe planted a kiss on Beca's head.

"Thanks, babe." Beca picked up a cupcake and began eating. After all that cooking she was starving.

"Don't eat them all," Chloe said.

"Why not?"

"Because I want to try my own little experiment later..." Chloe purred, trailing her fingers up Beca's arm.

The brunette shivered with excitement.

"You love your experimenting, don't you?"

"Only with you." Chloe locked her arm around Beca's waist and pulled her closer and it pushed Beca over the edge.

"Let's not waste any more time then." Beca put their cupcakes down and pinioned Chloe to the bed.

The redhead giggled then knotted her hands in Beca's hair when the brunette released Chloe's wrists and leaned down for a kiss.
