Chapter 2
I loved second grade! I made lots of great friends and had a lot of fun! I had great grades and loved my teacher.
I finished second grade and moved into elementary school. I was nervous about starting third grade because it was a different building, which meant new people. But it was pretty good.
I was terrified of storms. So sometimes people made fun of me or liked to scare me by saying, "Hey Mae, there's gonna be a big storm today! Sometimes I got so scared, I got sick. It was a phobia. I could not function in school when a storm would happen or even if it was just really cloudy.
Fourth grade came, and towards the end of the year, auditions for the 4th grade talent show arrived! I decided to try out since I love to sing. I was so nervous because I had to sing in front of the whole class. The next week, the list was up! I checked it, and turns out I had made it! I was so excited!
Finally, the day of the talent show came. I was scared as heck because I had to perform in front of the WHOLE school! I was terrified, but I still did it! I sang the song, and when I finished, the crowd clapped and cheered! It felt great!
Fourth grade ended and I moved into 5th grade. It was fun! I remember a time when I had brought caramel popcorn for all the teachers and they liked it! We had a 5th grade kickball tournament and my class ended up winning! It was so fun!
