Bailey Skyler Morris' point of view

  ♢

The familiar sound of my phone's notification rings and I check over the lock screen to find a message from Dylan informing me that the group had arrived. I reply with a quick thumbs up and head out to meet them at the front.

In the driver's seat was Cody along with Holland at the passenger's side. The three chairs behind them were occupied by Dylan and Tyler H with the middle empty. The very back consisted of Froy, Tyler P, and Shelley.

"Come in Bailey! We saved you the middle seat so you didn't have to sit at the back" Holland calls out from the open door on Dylan's side. Dylan opened the door to allow me space to enter the car, once we were all settled in, Cody began driving to our destination.

Even though Disneyland was in my city, the drive there was still about 45 minutes. The car ride involved pointless banter between Dylan and Tyler H, eye spy, teaching the group how to play spotto (a game which I had learned from an Australian friend of mine) and stupid riddles/jokes (most were by Dylan who usually forgot the answer anyway).

"Okay so, there was a plane," Froy began, capturing everyone's attention. "and that plane had crashed. Terrible crash, it was all over the news because every single person died, except for two. How?"

"They were the only smart ones to wear the lifejacket" Tyler P replies all smug.

"That's a bad answer, how do you know they even needed the lifejacket?" Holland responds and shakes her head at him.

"Uh, how do you know they didn't need it?"

"I'm not even going to argue with you about it"

"Ooh! Was it a miracle?" Shelley asks.

"No" Froy responds whilst he gives her an 'are you serious' look.

"How is this even possible?" Tyler H exclaims from beside me.

"It just is Ty Ty" Froy answers.

Tyler H sighs in annoyance.

"I know the answer," Cody says from the front.

"Tell us!" Dylan says, Cody simply shakes his head and tells us that he'd rather watch us suffer.

"Fine, we're smart people. We can figure it out" Dylan's face then turns serious as he tries to come up with a plausible answer for the joke.

"This is ridiculous. There probably wasn't a plane, to begin with"

"Yes there was Tyler, you're just not bright enough to get it," Froy says insultingly as a joke.

"You can't talk buddy, you stood behind a mannequin for ten minutes thinking you were in line to pay for your clothes"

"That was one time!"

"You really did that?" I laugh hysterically along with everyone else in the car.

"I was there, I literally took a video of him, here I'll show you" Dylan pulls out his phone and finds the video. I can't help but laugh at Froy's expression once he has realized he'd been waiting in line behind a mannequin.

"No one brings this up ever again, I swear, or I'll pull out the best embarrassing stories of everyone in this car"

"No one has embarrassing stories as embarrassing as yours Froy," Shelley says.
