RWBY:Fangs of Bone

Initiation Pt. 2

"A friend." He says slowly. He walks off, and I start after him. "OI! You can't just leave like that! We're partners now! And I still don't know your name!" I yell. "Just hurry up Jay!" He shouts back. "Wait. Come back here RIGHT NOW!" I scream. "How the HELL do you know my name?"

He whirls around. "It's an extremely long story, and I'll explain later." He says, his voice dangerously quiet. He walks away silently, and I run after him, grumbling. We make it to an old ruin, with chess pieces on pedestals around the edge. We grab a black rook, and start back towards the cliff. We see a large rock formation, and I notice two figures hiding at the base of it. I pick my way through the rubble, my partner following me, when I realize that the figures are Parker and Maddie, and they're waving us over. We sprint the rest of the way and crouch next to them. "What's going on?" I ask. "Shh." Parker says, pointing to a figure at the top of the cliff. "There's a Nevermore right there" "Well then let's go kill it!" Maddie whispers. "Wow." I mutter to Parker. "How much did it take you to shut her up?" "Five muffins, two donuts, and one of your scones." "Just out of interest, which piece did you grab?" I ask. "Black rook, same as you." Maddie replies. "Anyways, we have enough people now, let's go kill that Nevermore!" My partner coughs politely. "Little problem with that. I broke my weapon in the forest." "Oh. No problem, you can just borrow my katana." I said. "But won't that leave you defenseless?" Parker asks. "You should know this by now Parker. I am never defenseless. Let's go!"

We run out from behind the rubble, and I jump up the cliff using my launch runes. I draw five immobilizer runes around the Nevermore, than explode another rune in its face to get its attention. After I do that, I jump back down the cliff and launch a bolt of aura at it, detonating the rune holding it and knocking it down the cliff. Parker morphs his blades into their rocket launcher form and fires rockets at the falling Grimm. Once it hits the ground, Parker flips his launcher back to blade form, and my partner, Maddie, and Parker start slashing at it, while I start placing runes to finish the Nevermore off. After a minute or two of hacking, they manage to cut its wing off, and I shout for everyone to get back. Parker flips his blade into the launcher again, and fires more rockets into the cage of runes as I begin to detonate them around the Nevermore. Once there are only a few runes left, I detonate them all at once, creating a massive explosion of fire, electricity, ice, you name it. We all climb to the top of the cliff, and we are told to report to the auditorium at sunset. When we get there, there is a large screen with names and pictures on it, and we get called up. "Jay Aquila, Joseph Buffone, Parker Arbore, Maddie Belloni. You picked the black rooks. From now on, you will be known as team JJPM.(gypsum)

"Wait. Buffone?" I mutter. "That's me! Joey says cheerfully. I punch him across the face. "I thought you were dead!"

A/N I'm gonna do character descriptions next(I think), so tell me if you want anything else in the story before I do them, because I will be gone for a while, I have a camp with no wifi, and then I'll be at my cousins for a family reunion, and I'll be pretty busy there too. Also, any feedback? This is my first real story, so I would love people to tell me how I'm doing. Just don't be a jerk. Love you all, BYE!!!!!!
