In the dream, he and his brother Matt were in their room playing video games like they normally did. They both enjoyed playing as they rarely got the time to do it because of high school. It was fairly normal, Oliver was leading, Matt was coming in at a close second. It wasn't long until his mother and father knocked on the door, causing Oliver to loose focus and get shot by his brother.
"Aw c'mon!" He murmered to himself, "I was winning!"
"You'll have plenty of time to play again later." His mother insisted. "Right now, we have an announcment."Now, both of the boys were intruiged, confused and nervous at the same time.
"We got a letter in the post." their father had said. At this point, both boys wanted to run away and hide in the woods. The letter could only mean one thing...
They didn't get into the college they wanted.
"It said you were accepted into the college."
What?
Neither of them could believe it, it was like their parents were lying to make them feel better. However, when they gave them the letter to read, they knew for sure it was real.
"I didn't think they'd accept us!" Matt smiled in awe and slight disbelif. "I thought we were too dumb."
"Obviously not." Their mother chuckled.Oliver was still in shocked. They had been accepted, his dream had come true. His green eyes widened in an array of emotions. Surprise, joy, bemusement. Without thinking, he ran to his parents and gave them the biggest hug he could muster, this caused them to laugh heartily.
"Careful Olly!" His father said, beaming from ear to ear. "You don't want to crush us too much, we won't be able to take you to Bernando's".
This caused Matt to yell with joy. "Bernando's! I haven't been there in years!"
Their mother looked at the boys fondly, "well get ready. We'll be on our way soon."
At this, the brothers scrambled around looking for clothes to wear. Their consoles lay forgotten on the bed.
