Sun*Star
I heard a loud knock on the door and I sat up slightly, wincing in pain before giving up and lying down again. "Yeah?" I called as I pulled the blanket over my lower half. This stupid injury is preventing me from even wearing pants. The door opened slowly and my brother walked in. "Morning." He murmured groggily. I looked over his clothing and giggled. "What did you come here as soon as you woke up?"
He shrugged and rubbed his eyes before looking down at his sweatpants and baggy t-shirt. "Yeah. We don't have school today so I didn't feel like getting dressed." He shoved his hands in his pockets, looking around the room. His eyes fell on Akemi, who had moved from the chair to the bed next to me after my hour of begging her to sleep. "Was she here all night?" Black*Star asked, glaring at the sleeping girl before turning back to me. "Yes. I didn't know she was staying all night. I just woke up and she was sitting there." I stated, gesturing to the chair. "It was really nice of her." I murmured, looking at her and smiling sweetly.
"Doesn't make up for what she did." Black*Star grumbled as he sat down in the chair next to me. "She didn't do anything." I argued. "Alright. Sure." He muttered, brushing my bangs away from my forehead. "There's something I need to tell you." He whispered, his hands still in my hair. "What?" I questioned curiously as I turned on my side. "You know my weapon Tsubaki right?"
"Yeah. What about her?"
"I'm gonna move in with her. You know the whole weapon and meister thing. I need to get to know her a little better."
I stared at him, slightly confused and more than upset. Black*Star had lived with me all my life. He's the only one I had after our family was killed and now he's leaving to go live with that stupid weapon of his!?"Come on, Sun. Say something." He mumbled after a few minutes of my staring. "Uh.. Fine." I stuttered as I shrugged and leaned back against the lumpy pillow on my uncomfortable bed. "Just. Fine?" He asked, looking at me quizzically. "Yep. Fine. Live with Tsubaki. I don't care." I muttered as I tugged the blanket up to my chin. "C'mon don't be like that." He whispered and yanked the blanket away from me, pulling it away from my entire body. His eyes went wide and he covered his eyes. "Oh my Death. Where are your pants?" He questioned keeping his hands over his eyes. I shrieked and grabbed the blanket away from him, covering my lower half again. "I can't wear pants with this cut healing, Baka!!" I exclaimed, "And I don't know how else to react. I don't want you to leave me alone." I pouted as he looked at me cautiously again. "You know as much as I hate to suggest this, you could invite Akemi to live with you... Just so you won't be alone.." He grumbled, scratching the back of his neck and looking around the room.
I smirked softly and glanced at the sleeping girl across the room. "Alright fine. I guess that's fair. I mean weapons and meisters should be close." Black*Star's smile grew wide. "Yeah! I knew you'd understand!!" He yelled, earning a glare from me. "Shh! She's asleep you idiot." I whispered, looking from Akemi back to him. "Yeah alright. Sorry." He murmured, standing again. "I'm gonna go get my stuff from the house and move into Tsubaki's apartment I guess. I'll see you later okay?" I nodded. "Okay." I whispered and sighed quietly as Black*Star hugged me and walked out of the room.
Akemi
"Crona!!" I shrieked as I bolted upright in my bed. "Who?" I quickly turned my head and noticed Sun*Star staring at my curiously. "What?" I asked wiping the tears away from my face. "You've been crying for about an hour and you suddenly wake up and scream Crona. Who's that?" I sat on the bed a little dumbfounded. Is that his name? "Uhm.. If the name makes sense with my dream Crona's my brother.."
"Whoa you've got a brother too!? What's he like? I didn't know the professor had another kid!" She exclaimed. "Uh.. I don't know him too well.. I wouldn't really say he's Stein's son." I mumbled and stood up, running my fingers through my hair. "What do you mean? If he's your brother and Stein is your dad wouldn't that make Crona his son?"
I only shrugged, sitting in the chair next to her.Wow! Look at you! you're not as stupid as you look! You've figured out his name. I bet you can't guess the rest though! And there's no way in hell I'm helping you!
"Oh yeah! Black*Star's moving in with Tsubaki for their whole partnership thing. So I thought you could move in with me! You know so we can be closer. I bet that'd help improve our fighting ya know!?" She added, quickly changing the subject. "Uh yeah! Sounds great. That'd help us I'm sure." I smiled softly and stood up again. "Are you allowed to leave yet?" I asked as I started toward the door. "Um I'm not sure. Ask your dad. If he says I'm alright we can get you moved in!" She smirked excitedly and sat up cautiously, leaning against the wall behind her bed.
I nodded and opened the door, "I'll be back." I stated, stepping out of the room and closing the door behind me. "Dad?" I called, wandering toward his classroom. "Are you in here?" I asked as I walked into the darkness, shivering slightly. "Yes what is it?" I heard his voice from his desk. "Why are you in here with all the lights off?" I called again, feeling along the walks for a light switch.
I found the switch, flipping it upward yet the lights only flickered and went out again. "Dad?" I whispered, my voice trembling. I heard no response, terrified beyond repair I turned toward the door again just as it slammed closed. "What?" I whispered as I yanked on the handle of the door to no avail. "Dad!?" I screamed backing against a wall and sliding down, pulling my knees up to my chin. "Is anyone in here?" I murmured, my voice breaking as a year streamed down my face. "I don't want to be alone in here.." I cried, burying my face in my hands and sobbing.
"HAH! You should wish you're alone little girl!!" I heard from behind me.Behind me? That's impossible it's only the wall. "Hey! Right here idiot!!" The voice yelled as it pulled my hair. "Ow! That hurts!" I complained, looking up over my head at the pink... Thing.. Seeming to come from my back. "I know it does ya baby that's the whole point of doing it!!" The thing laughed, pulling harder on my hair, causing more tears to spring from my eyes. "Quit that!!" I yelled as I threw my hands up toward the thing, pulling its hands away from my hair. "You can't tell me what to do! I don't listen to babies!!"
"Just go away!! Leave me alone whatever you are!!" I yelled, beyond terrified at this point. The thing growled softly before crossing its arms. "Fine! You get your way this time but it won't always be like this!!" It countered before disappearing back into my back. After a few minutes of crying uninterrupted I stood up, heading for the door. I tried opening it again but like I guessed that didn't work. "Someone please let me out!!" I yelled, knocking on the door as hard as I could. "Please!! I don't want to be in here any longer!" I cried, the dark making my entire body shake. I cringed at the slightest noise, burying myself deeper in the fear. "Someone please come get me out!!" I screamed as my fists started to burn.
I couldn't help but think about how much I sounded like him. Like my brother. Crona. I finally know how he felt all those times he was locked alone in the dark.
I gave up and stood back away from the door, leaning against the wall again. My shoulders shook as the tears came faster and harder. "I hate the dark. Someone please help me." I sobbed, digging the heels of my hands into my eyes. I looked up as a stream of light poured into the room. "Akemi?" I muffled voice called from behind the door. I gasped softly and leaned forward, walking closer to the door. "Dad?" I asked, pulling the door open the rest of the way. "Why are you in here in the dark?" He questioned, looking me over. I didn't answer until my arms were thrown around his neck. "I don't know! Something locked me in here! I heard you voice and I thought you were here!" I explained frantically as I buried my face in his chest. "I was so afraid." I mumbled as his arms wrapped around me, returning the hug. "It's alright. You're safe." He assured, hugging me tighter.
After a few seconds I released him and he turned, flipping on the light switch. This time light filled the room. I smiled slightly, keeping my eyes down until I heard a small gasp from him. My eyes shot up and I caught a glance of a woman standing in the center of the room. Stein's eyes were wide, that was obvious even through his glasses. "Medusa." He muttered, staring at her. The woman smirked,
"Found you."
