Dear Reader,
My name is Wendy Darling. Perhaps you've heard the story of a boy who lives forever. A young, reckless boy who flies with fairies and lives in a land full of pirates and indians. This is a lie. I am here to set the score straight. I have already been made a laughing stock of my town, so I'm appealing to you. People should be made aware exactly WHAT is out there.
You may brush my story off as silly dreams, but I will tell the real story behind Peter. You deserve the truth. I'm writing these letters so that this will not be forgotten. I fear for my daughter, Jane. She's almost the age I was. I want to protect her from my experience.
It upsets me to write, so I will return to this subject a little later.
