Not even one foot in the door, and everything became quiet.

I could feel their pesky little eyes staring me down.

"Ahh, Ms. Omari, how nice of you to grace us with your presence, now I assume you have a legit explanation for as to why you've interrupted my lecture yet again?"

Mr. Strutter, my history professor said condescendingly, almost as if he didn't expect a response out of me.

I turned my head towards him, looked him square in the eyes and said

"Yes sir, I actually got a bit lost on my way, and then I remembered that if I concentrated really hard and clicked my heels three times, I could go wherever my heart desired, so I tried just that. Unfortunately turns out that it didn't work, because sadly I ended up here instead of on a beach in the Baham-"

"Alright, Alright, I've heard enough, just take a sit Ms. Omari, I do have a class to teach, don't let this happen again"
he said pointedly, while cutting me off, a few of my classmates snickered.

"Well that wasn't very nice"
I said pouting as I made my way to the back of the room.

"Ugh just be finished already"
I said under my breath to myself, as I was putting my head down, getting ready to take a nap.

"You just got here and you already want to leave?"
Some stranger in front of me chuckled, I peeked above  my arms at said stranger, she's  a girl, I think her name is Amanda or Avery or something like that, not that I care.

"yeah, what's it to you?"I scowled at her,
she put her hands up in mock surrender, but it looked like my scowl didn't affect her at all, she smiled.

"nothing it's just, I thought you were really funny up there you know with your little Dorothy routine, and I can tell that you're nothing like these other hooligans"

she said looking around the class room. Some of the other students glared at her like she just killed their pets, I chuckled under my breath.

"Oh come on don't look at me like that Debra, you know I'm right" she smirked at a redhead who was giving her the ultimate death glare, eventually the redhead just rolled her eyes and looked away.

"Yeah that's what I thought"

stranger said to the redhead, chuckling. She looked at me quizzically, it felt like she was looking into my soul. She grabbed my hand and started to shake it, she has a very firm handshake.

"My name is Naomi Rivera, and I like you, I can tell we're going to be friends"
she winked at me, winked! Wow I was way off her name, not even close.

I pried her hands off me,
"well Naomi Rivera, nice to meet you, my name is Cleo Omari, and I don't have friends"
I said dead serious, looking her in her eyes.

She looked at me straight back also dead serious
" you say that now but-"

"Ms. Rivera is there something that you would like to share with the class?"
Mr. Strutter interrupted her, sighing and rolling her eyes, she turned around in her seat.

"No sir, sorry"
she said almost as if she couldn't care less about this class or him. Man for someone who looks as fine as a gentleman, Mr. Strutter sure doesn't act like one always interrupting people, how rude.

"Good, do not interrupt my lecture again, now pay attention, this lesson is important!"
he said, promptly turning back around towards the board.

"Dick"

she muttered to herself, snickering under my breath, I laid my head back down and tried again for that much needed nap.

I awoke with a jump, rubbing my eyes. I stilled.
