Chapter 8

The next morning...
Kayla's POV
I was asleep when I heard shuffling around my room.

" aw look how cute they are!" I hear what sounds like Melissa gush.

" jeez Melissa leave them alone." I hear Nate say.

" ok let me just take a picture real quick." She says and I hear Nate say to be quick. I then hear the camera click and decide to open my eyes.

" what are you guys doing in my room?" I asked rubbing the sleep out of my eyes.

" oh sorry Kayla , we just came to check on you guys and Melissa hear got all mushy at the site of you and Chance." Nate explains and I look over to see I'm laying on chances chest. I sit up careful not to wake him, and turn back towards the two.

" what time is it?" I asked them looking around for my phone.

" it's a little after 10, don't worry Jayden is at school already , we figured you two would be tired from last night, we heard you all laughing till like 2 in the morning." Melissa says and I just nod.

" oh well thanks for taking Jayden to school, I guess I should get Chance up." I tell them and they nod understanding. They both go to leave and Melissa turns back to me.

" check your phone." She says before leaving. I look around to see my phone on the charger. I grab it to see I have a message from Presley, emeraude and Melissa. I open Melissa's and laugh at the picture. She took a picture of me and Chance sleeping. She would do that.

Anyways I carefully get up and go to the bathroom to wash up. Once I was done I went back into my room and saw Chance on his phone laying down. I just go and sit down on my bed and he sits up next to me.

" did I hear Melissa and Nate in the room or was I dreaming?" He asks and I start laughing.

" no you heard them alright , they came in to check on us. They really don't know how to whisper." I said and he starts laughing.

" yea , heh , hey what time is it?" He asks and I check my phone.

" um it's 10:35." I said showing him my phone.

" I guess I should be getting ready to leave , gotta get back to the guys." He says and I nod. He gets up and goes into the bathroom to do his business I just unlock my phone and decide to call Presley. After two rings she picked up.

" Kayla! " she instantly screams into the phone and I laugh.

" hey Presley, what are you up to today?" I asked her.

" ah I'm so glad you called, I'm not really doing anything today." She says and I smile.

" well do you want to hang out and catch up, I've missed you and I feel like I owe you an explanation as to why I've been distant lately." I say picking at my nails.

" yeah that would be great! And don't worry about it Kayla , I know you've been going through a lot with josh an everything but yes I want to hang out what time?" She asked , just as Chance came out of the bathroom.

" um Chance is getting ready to leave so how about say in about two hours?" I asked her.

" wait Chance is with you right now?" She asked and I can almost hear the smirk in her voice.

" heh, yea he's with me." I told her.

" oh you so are explaining when I come over! I'll see you in a bit! " she says and I laugh.

" alright see you in a bit!" I tell her.

" ah I can't wait bye!" She says and then we hang up and I turn my attention back to Chance.
