Awkward Situation

Obito's Pov

"So Minato- sensei how do you know Tobi- chan?" I asked the frozen teen. It took a while for sensei to compose himself. "Well Tobirama and I met through his older brother, Hashirama, and his girlfriend, Mito. Mito is actually the cousin of my friend Kushina." I looked over at Tobirama for confirmation and only received a nod in return.

"Hey you never told me you were in a relationship." Minato- sensei whined but only received a blank look from Tobirama.A resounding slap was heard as Tobirama's hand met his face.Rin, and I let out a barrage of giggles at his reaction but Minato- sensei just stood there confused. "Hey Obito can we go over to your house. I wanna go annoy Madara." Rin exclaimed while pulling on Tobirama's pant leg. "Yeah! Minato- sensei and Tobi- chan can come too." I cheered as I walked up to Minato- sensei and motioning for him to carry me. "I don't see why not. Let's go see your significant other Tobirama." Minato- sensei said while reaching down to pick me up. Tobirama gave Minato-sensei a glare before reaching down to pick up Rin and Baka-shi.

*Time skip*

Tobirama Pov

"Madara should be tending to the garden right now!"

Obito exclaimed a goofy smirk appearing on his face, Rin and Kakashi giggled in unison.

"Doesn't Madara have a really girly hobby?" Obito and Rin gushed out as they tried to hide their snickers.

Minato only smiled in response to the children's immaturity, while Kakashi gave a snort.

It took awhile for the Uchiha household came into view but when it did I froze. My knees shook and my grip on the children loosened as I stood there staring at the shorter figure a few meters away. A shiver ran down my spine as I felt a cold appendage assault my neck and I fell to my knees. A breathy gasp left my lips as I felt my eyes water, and my vision blur. My hands left the children's side and slowly made their way towards my throbbing head. My breath was erratic and unstable. A warm bead rolled down my cheek as my breathing worsened. The warmth from the small wet bead spread across my cheek grounding me. The comforting warmth moved across my cheek wiping the wet droplet away, before long I could here a soothing melody, a familiar one, one I hadn't heard since I was a child.

The melody was calming and smooth. At the back of my head I could hear a small voice humming as if trying to sooth a child.

Slowly my vision began to clear and I could see Minato in front of me. His hand was placed on my cheek and I could hear the low hum of his voice as he continued with the song. I was broken out of my stupor by small voices laced with worry.

"Tobirama?"

"Tobi-chan are you okay?"

They echoed around me and slowly I turned to the young ones who so desperately called for me.

"It's...kay, I'm alrigh... ow." A hoarse voice spoke, leaving my throat sore and my tongue numb. The words I had just spoken were a jumbled mess reflecting how utterly broken I felt. A silence met my reply yet I ignored it. I rubbed as my face desperately wanting to erase the embarrassment I felt. I slowly got up steeling myself before signing to Minato, 'I'm fine now. Let's keep going.'

I continued forward as a reluctant 'okay' came from behind me. I could hear scampering feet growing closer before a grip enveloped my pants. I spared a curious glance to the small form against my leg and smiled at Obito reassuringly.

A softness spread into my voice as I spoke down to the frightened child. "I'm okay."

Obito looked up to me a disbelief running through his obsidian eyes. A sigh came from a few feet away, " I preferred it when you didn't talk."

Izuna's voice pierced the short lived silence before he stepped forward beckoning Obito with a hand motion. "Come on Obito, Auntie wants you to come home" A small whine left Obito as he reluctantly loosened his grip, "Why can't I stay with Mada-nii?" I slipped my hand from Obito's grip before nudging him towards Izuna. Obito looked back at me, a look of betrayal crossing his face; he was begging me,pleading for me to make him stay but all I could do was offer him a reassuring smile or one that I hoped was reassuring. I felt my arm slacken as the grip that was once encasing it fled, Rin rushed forward encapsulating Obito in a hug as sobs left her lips. Before long Obito began to cry with her and in my peripheral I could see Kakashi gaze at the pair with clenched fists. "Obito I don't have time for this! Madara can't take care of you right now and neither can I! We have to focus on our studies! Plus she's your mother!" Izuna growled before yanking the young Uchiha from his friends and hauling the fussy child away.

A small sigh left my lips as I approached the sobbing girl. I slowly picked her up gently before cradling her against me. Her sobs wracked against her small body as she dry heaved, her small fists gripped my shirt tightly. I looked up at Minato and whispered  , 'Do you know where she lives?' and even though no sound came from my lips, Minato seemed to understand as he grabbed Kakashi by the wrist and lead us the way we came.

As we walked I began to hum the same song Minato had not too long ago, it's soothing melody calmed my restless soul. And before long Rin began to tiredly hum along to the catchy tune as her sobs weakened. I smiled as I sang the lyrics in a hushed tone as if I was reciting a secret that only Rin could know about.

"Tobe you hab a pwetty voiz. Ven Obi gets back cawn you sing for hum too." Rin slurred out desperately clinging to consciousness.

 I let out a small chuckle as a smile spilled unto my face. "Of course little one."
