the song ends, and byeongkwan freezes in his ending position. his chest heaves as he catches his breath, and the crowd of viewers around him clap and cheer.
he turns to face the crowd, bowing politely and thanking them for their praises. the crowd slowly disperses as byeongkwan starts to pack his set up back into his bag.
he picks his hat, a few dollars and coins in the black ball cap. he takes out the dollars and coins, counting ₩10,506 total. he happily puts the amount into his pocket.
byeongkwan continues to pack away his speaker when a delicate tap pokes his shoulder.
the brunet looks up to meet eyes with a platinum-haired man. his skin was glowing in the streetlamp's light, and byeongkwan can feel his heart skip a beat in his chest.
"ah hello," the male starts, smiling at the brunet. "your dancing skills are quite amazing."
"oh," kwan stutters, losing hope that this male was the leader of any busking group. "thanks, i suppose."
the platinum-haired male chuckles, patting byeongkwan on the shoulder once the brunet is finished packing his back and stands upright to meet face to face with the other male.
"are you under a label?"
byeongkwan looks shocked from that question, his eyes widening and his grip on his bag loosening. how could someone think he was good enough to dance for a company.
"no, sir," byeongkwan states.
"why not? your skills are amazing!" the male exclaims. byeongkwan only looks away and rolls his eyes.
"i don't want to dance for a company."
"why not?"
"i just don't, okay sir?" byeongkwan stutters out, finally getting the man to hush.
the man'a shoulders drop and he sighs, running his hands through his platinum hair. byeongkwan's never seen someone as naturally good-looking as him. he had to be a foreigner or something.
the male pulls a small card out of his pocket, handing it to the brunet. byeongkwan gives the man a sketchy look, before hesitantly taking the card from him.
"i work for beat entertainment, a small company around here," the male states, pointing to the address at the bottom of the card. "you should audition."
byeongkwan shakes his head, taking the man's hand and facing it palm up.
"i don't think i'm cut out for a company," byeongkwan says as he puts the business card back into the other male's hand. "plus i don't really feel like i want to dance for a company."
"but you're so talented.." the man trails off, obviously wanting the brunet's name.
"byeongkwan." the brunet murmurs.
"byeongkwan," the platinum-haired male repeats with a small grin on his face.
"well, i'm sehyoon kim." the male, named sehyoon, states. he takes byeongkwan's hand again and puts the flimsy card into the boy's grip again. "at least consider auditioning. our company can use more dancers like you."
byeongkwan makes eye contact with sehyoon, his deep black eyes staring softly back at the brunet. he looks away immediately, a light blush forming on his ears and cheeks.
"fine, i'll consider it," byeongkwan huffs, pushing the flimsy card into his pant pocket with his phone. "but no promises i'll be there to audition—"
"but if you do," sehyoon interrupts. "all you have to do is call the number on the card, and tell him to speak to me, i'm there from 5:00 to 16:00."
byeongkwan sighs, smiling softly and letting out a soft chuckle.
"okay, sehyoon-ssi."
and with that, sehyoon pats byeongkwan on the back and heads the opposite direction of byeongkwan.
the brunet places his arms into the straps of his bag and walks away, his hand in his pocket. his thumb rubs over the glossy material of the business card.
he didn't know what he would do.
