Jellal x Reader one shot

Y/N's P.O.V:

Darn it! I won't have any more magic power left if any of those metal dragons keep on coming at me. I heard and sensed power from behind me and turned around to see that one of the metal dragons was ready to shoot it's ray at me. As it did shoot the ray, I dodged it and got out of the way, but then another metal dragon shot and ended up hitting my ankle.

"You're really starting to piss me off." I said as I tried to pull through the aching pain.

I tried my best to stand up, but I ended up kneeling back down since the pain was too much to handle. I pulled out my sword from my backpack and got ready to give it one last shot and try to destroy these dragons once and for all. I focused my energy on all the last remaining metal dragons and cut through all of them in one blow. I felt the blast of air reach me as soon as the metal dragons were defeated. I sat on the floor and sighed in relief since I thought that no more were going to come.

I was deep in thought when all of a sudden I heard at least 15 of them charging up, ready to kill me as they surrounded me. I couldn't stand anymore, since I wasted the last of my magic energy on my last attack. So this is how I'm gonna die? Man, and I really thought that I would be able to live to see the day that Natsu actually pays me back the money he borrowed to buy food....I should have had Sting and Rogue murder him on the spot. Then again, why did I let him in the first place if he always goes on jobs with Lucy daily. I heard the dragons fire at me and I crossed my arms in front of my face, ready to face my cruel death.....but the attack never came.

3rd Person P.O.V:

"Don't tell me that you were ready to give it all up today." the man with blue hair said. He had a tattoo above his right eye and under it too. He had gotten rid of all the dragons and took you to a safe place.

He had his arms around you carrying you bridal style and you stared at him not in a thankful way......but more like as if you've seen a ghost.

You knew who he was. Jellal Fernandes. The one who did all those terrible things at the Tower of Heaven. The one who hurt Fairy Tail's Erza Scarlett. Although you heard all these things about him, you looked into his eyes and saw that there were no signs of evil, different from what those who have survived his cruelty have said.

"I see that you seem rather terrified of me. I think I know the reason why miss-." he said looking upset as he stopped talking since he didn't know your name. He gently set you on the ground, cautious of not hurting you anymore, and sat across from you.

"My name is (Y/N), (Y/N) (L/N) and I know that you're Jellal Fernandes...." you said with your voice becoming a whisper at the end of your sentence.

He explained to you what happened during all those years he spent there at the Tower of Heaven. From hurting those he cared about, to having no memory of what he had done to those who were trying to save him from his path of destruction. Eventually creating his own independent guild, with two others, trying to right his wrongs.

You just stared at him, trying to take in every little detail that he said about those horrific memories, thinking about how it's possible for someone to continue living life, knowing that they hurt many people for many years.

"Don't worry. I understand if you don't want to be anywhere near me, " he said while getting ready to stand up, "I think I should just take you somewhere else and not bother you anymore. Hopefully you'll be safe after-"

You cut him off and pull him into a hug. He tenses at your sudden reaction and hesitantly hugs you back. You both hug each other tighter, his arms around your waist, yours around his neck. You rest your head on his shoulder, feeling a single tear fall onto your shoulder.

"It's okay to be broken. Everyone has been at one point in their life. It's up to them to choose if they want to pick up the pieces or stay broken forever." you whispered in his ear while stroking his blue hair.

You remained in that position for a few more minutes. Eventually you both pull away a little from the hug.

"You have chosen to pick up those pieces Jellal, most people wouldn't even bother to and they would just continue to live life how it is." you said as you brushed away the tear that was starting to fall on his face.

You both look at each other in the eyes and then all of sudden you see Jellal start lean in. You didn't know what to do, until you felt a pair of lips on yours. You kissed back after a couple of seconds and put your arms around his neck. He deepened the kiss by gently laying you down on the ground, while hovering over your body. You both soon pull away from the kiss due to lack of air. He rests his forehead against yours while grabbing your hand, intertwining his with yours.

"You are just the person that I needed in my life (Y/N). I would love it if you would continue being in my life and joining my journey to stop evil." he said not breaking eye contact with you.

"I'd love to help you out and join you Jellal. Hopefully my best friends Sting and Rogue won't act like cry babies like they do every time I leave for a job." you said mentally laughing at how the guys will react to you leaving Sabertooth for a while.

He lowers his head and kisses you on your lips. He's finally happy after all that he's been through for many years.
