I was awakened by my uncle. He was shaking me and saying my name.
"Madi? madi! wake up" he said urgently. "Madi! wake up!" this time he was yelling. I woke up and pushed him away.
"Where and I going?" I asked him remembering last night.
"What? what are you talking about?" he asked
"Last night!" I didn't mean to yell " there was a lady that came by and said that I needed to be ready to go on a flight to an academy and I can't bring anything but my personal belongings!"
"Oh.. I was going to tell you, you are going to school today. You are leaving at 8:30 and getting on a plane to Washington." He told me.
"Well I don't want to go" I was still yelling so I stopped and took a breath. " I don't want to go" I told him.
" Well you have to so pack your things or don't take anything, it all has to fit in a small bag." He walked out of the room and I sat there. I was scared. I didn't know where I was going. I got up and changed into my jeans and hoodie and put my pajamas in a bag. I Was ready. I didn't really have anything important.
There was a knock at the door that startled me. My uncle went and answered it. There was a lady. She had short blonde curly hair, and tons of makeup on. She was dressed in a tight business skirt and a matching blazer. She peered around my uncle and looked at me.
"And you must be Madison!" she sounded way to happy. " She squeezed passed my uncle and walked over to me. I stood up.
"Um yes. That's me." I said nervously.
"Oh yes!" she squealed " you are perfect!" She said while she circled around me. she grabbed my wrist and pulled me to the black Audi waiting for us in front of the house. She was about my height if se took off her 8" heels. She pulled open the door for me and I got in the car an she went around and took a seat in the back with me.
"Well I don't know if I told you but my name is Roxane" she introduced herself as the driver began to pull away from the house. Roxane kept talking all the way to the airport. She was talking about the academy and everything. I probably should have listened but I figured I would hear enough about it later.
Wen we finally arrived at the airport I got out of the car after Roxane did and thanked the driver. He looked relieved to not have to hear her talk anymore.
Roxane and I wandered to our gate and waited for about 15 minute to board the plane. We stayed in the VIP section. Luckily there was a person sitting in between Roxane and I so I didn't have to listen to her all the way to Washington. Once we were in the air for about 30 minutes I drifted off into Madi's land and fell asleep.
