Ch 3 - That night

Jimin tiptoed his way, carrying the suitcase close to his chest towards his desk. He hunched his back slightly hoping the partition would cover his view. "Yah! Park Jimin, this is the third time of the week!" the boss cleared his throat and yelled at the protagonist.

His buddy cum colleague, Taehyung giggled while hinting him to sit down before being scolded again.

"Park Jimin, better give me a full report by end of the day if not you can forget knocking off today!" the boss glared angrily at Jimin.

Jimin bowed down in 90 degree and deeply apologized for being late. "Hey, u oversleep again? taehyung nudged against his shoulder.

Taehyung had been a childhood friend of jimin where both graduated from the same college and are now colleagues as well. However, taehyung is smart and his performance at both college and work are always much better than jimin. Nevertheless, taehyung treats jimin like real brothers and they both always stay by each other.

"Hey, is time for lunch...let's go have seollongtang today! And I know a good place that serves really cheap and nice dishes! taehyung put his arm over Jimin's shoulder and gives him a wink. He knows that jimin still feeling down for the incident this morning so tries to comfort him with his favourite food.

Jimin was so engrossed in typing his report that he did not listen to taehyung. "Hey, Park Jimin...I am hungry, I want food- food! let's go for lunch!" Taehyung whine. "Okay, let me save my work first then we can go." Taehyung sat on his chair swinging left and right while waiting for Jimin.

"Anneonghaeseyo!" they arrived at the restaurant. "Ahjumma, could we have corner seat today?" Taehyung asked. "Ya, sure I ve reserved a seat for you at the corner." the lady boss replied. Taehyung had been a regular customer no wonder he sounds so friendly with the lady boss.

"Extra side dishes set aside for you only! the lady boss smiled at both. "Is this your friend, never see you bring along any one before?" the lady probed. Taehyung nodded and smiled.

"Hey, how do you know this place?" Jimin asked. "I ve been here a couple of time with my family...See, I told you the boss here is very nice and always give me extra side dishes, the food here is the best." taehyung sounds delighted with his eyebrows raised.

"Quick! Let's eat while hot, I bet you must also be hungry!" taehyung took the spoon from the container and passed one to Jimin.

Jimin smiled back. Both have some light conversation over lunch before returning to work. "Ya! I am damned full now and sleepy...how am I going to complete the report by end of the day! Jimin sighed. "No worries! I will need to complete some work too, so I could stay back with you as well! taehyung exclaimed.

Jimin hugged taehyung making him blushed. "Aigoo..." The clock on the wall showing 7.30 p.m. and most staffs had left for the day except taehyung and Jimin. "Sorry tae tae, is because of me that make you need to stay late today..." Jimin apologize with guilt. Taehyung slightly brush on Jimin's puppy hair and replied in a gentle tone "No worries, I told you that I ve some work left to do so don't blame yourself so much okay!

Jimin felt thankful and touched by taehyung's words as he knew that taehyung was actually staying back cause of him.

"Yeah! Finally is done! Jimin laid back on his seat and stretched his arms. "Okay! I am almost done as well... Taehyung said. "Let's pack and knock off then!" Both get ready and left the office. The clock now showing 9.40 p.m. The sky is pitched black by the time they left.

"Just in time to catch the last bus opposite! Jimin exclaimed. "Taehyung ah, where are you heading now?" Jimin asked. "I am going to the other direction to get some street food on my way home..."
