Landon POV

School went by quickly and soon it was the end of the day, as I'm walking to my car I see Venus sitting in her car angrily punching the steering wheel trying to start it, "Piece of shit!" She exclaimed slamming the door.

I raise my eyebrows in amusement walking over to her, "Hey." I say.

"Car won't start." She said putting her hands on hips.

"Can I give you a ride somewhere?" I offered.

"Well actually I was heading to your house to study with Rae." She replied. "I was heading home anyway, shall we?" I asked.

       "We shall." She answered.

The drive to my place was quiet, I guess we were both kind of nervous. "So, has your car ever broke down like that before?" I asked in an attempt to spark a conversation.

She laughed, "Uh can't say it has, but here is a first for everything."

We both fell into silence again and it was quiet the rest of the ride. Just as I'm about to pull up Rae's car speeds out of the driveway and down the street.

      "Woah." Venus remarked.

I then saw Nolan running out of the house, "What happened?" I questioned rolling down my window.

"Danvers, some of his guys ransacked the house, Isaac went after them and Rae followed." I sighed, "Get in."

Once he was in the car I sped off after Rae. "Okay what the hell is going on?!" Venus exclaimed.

"Dammit," I muttered, "look Venus uh." She looked panicked and confused, and my heart wrenched at the thought that I probably just changed her life forever bringing her into this. "We are different than most people, we can do things, and I'm pretty sure you know something about that?"

She sighed, "Things like this?" She questioned sparking a flame in her palm. "Yeah, good to put out thoughts to rest."

"How did you know?" She questioned.

      "It's a sensation we get."

      "So that's what that is."

I soon caught eye of Rae's car, I pulled my phone out and called her.

      "What?' She asked impatiently.

What the hell are you doing?" I exclaimed.

"Trying to stop Isaac from being an idiot, he doesn't know what he is doing." She replied.

"Neither do you. you're going to get yourself killed."

"Landon if he dies I will not be able to live with myself." I fell silent for a moment, "Alright look, we don't know what we are walking into. I know that Danvers wants you in his grip more than anything else, so just stay out of the way." I instructed.

"Oh just stand in the back like a jackass? No way." She argued.

"Fine we'll figure it out when we get there." I said.

She then hung up the phone. "Do you think that this is a good idea?" Nolan questioned.

      "Which part?" I asked.

"You know which part." He retorted.

      "What?" Venus asked confused.

"One thing to know about Nolan, try not to think around him."

      "About what?" She questioned.

       "Anything." Nolan answered.

"Are you like psychic?" She implored.

      "No." He said.

      "Oh okay." She sighed.

      "I'm telepathic." He added.

      "Great."

As we pulled up to the old Danvers facility I quickly spotted Isaac's car with the door ajar and Rae standing impatiently outside hers. " You know what to do?" I asked Nolan, "Yeah." he replied.

     "What?" Venus urged.

We all stepped out of the car and made our way over to Rae, "So what's the plan?" She asked.

"The plan is that you are going to stay in the car." I said.

      "What?" She questioned.

As soon as she said that Nolan walked up behind her and put his hands up to her head, she quickly dropped, Nolan catching her before she hit the ground. "You'll thank me later." I said as he carried her to the car.

I turned to Venus, "I think you should stay in the car too." She looked at me for a moment unsure before nodding and heading back to the car. Nolan and I walked into the facility and made our way through the hallways until we heard voices. I peered around the corner and saw Isaac and two of Danvers men.

       "How many?" Nolan questioned.

      "Two." I answered.

"If you land a hand on her I will make you regret your entire existence." I heard Isaac say.

"She owes him." One of them said.

"No I owe him, not her she had nothing to do with it." Isaac argued.

"He saved her life, now she needs to repay her debt." The other one said.

       "No." Isaac fired back.

      "Fine."

A bang rang through my ears my blood ran cold as I heard the gunshot. "Turn her over and we'll leave the rest of you alone."

       "Not this time." Isaac grunted.

There was another gunshot, "We'll have her, one way or another."

That was all I could take, "Nolan." I said nodding my head.

He walked around the corner out into the open, "What the hell is this?" One of them asked. Nolan closed his eyes and raised his hands, both cried out in pain before dropping to the floor. I ran over to Isaac examining his wounds, he had been shot in the thigh and abdomen. I pulled my belt off and wrapped it above the wound on his leg.

"Nolan go get the car," I said. "alright Isaac I'm going to lift you up, it's going to hurt like a bitch but you need to help me out I can't carry you." I said, he nodded.

"Okay on three, one, two, three!" I exclaimed lifting him up, her yelled in pain as I started dragging him out.

When we finally got outside Venus ran over to us and lifted the other side him of taking some of the weight. I looked at Isaac who had fallen unconscious, if we didn't get him to the hospital fast enough...he was going to die.

Author's Note:

Got the computer working finally! So this was probably one of the longer chapters that I have written and I know it's crappy but something exciting is finally happening. And if it isn't that exciting for you then just wait. Lots of stuff is about to go down in the next couple of chapters.
