-Readers POV-
The feeling of blood trickling down your hand as you deepened your knife into your scarred wrists gave you a feeling of relief that you had listened to the voice in the back of your head, telling you to do it. Tears trickled down your cheeks as you felt all the pain and sadness seep through you and continue its way to your heart. You looked up into your bathroom mirror to stare at the ugly thing in front of you. Your (E/C) eyes had no brightness in them and your eyes were swollen from crying to your heart's content.
Glancing over at your phone, it was 5:30 am. It was the perfect time for a 'freak accident' to occur, you thought to yourself. You threw on a T-shirt and pants and headed outside. It was a warm summer day, but you couldn't feel how warm or cold the air was, nor did you care. You walked without even paying attention until your heavy tired legs carried you to a bridge that was over a highway. You walked to the railing of the bridge and looked down to see a very tempting release from this world.
There was no second thought, you climbed over the railing and stared down at what might be your last moments. You heard incoherent noises of traffic, but you were too focused on what you were about to do. You felt your whole body relax as you looked at your feet that were barely on the edge of the bridge. You heard in the back of your head, "do it, no one will miss you or care", and that was all it took. You closed your eyes and let go of the railing and felt your body fall forward. You felt the breeze go into your hair as you were about to drop. Your body went limp, but then you felt something grab onto your waist and pull you back
You opened your eyes and found a pair of brown eyes staring into yours with concern. "??? ??? ?????", you heard something come out of his mouth but you couldn't understand what he had said, all you remember is closing your eyes and drifting into a deep slumber.
-Jungkook's POV-
I woke up at 5:30 and had done my daily routine for my early morning jog. At 5:40 I finally started to leave the house to start my run. I pulled out my earbuds and listened to music to motivate me to keep on going. An elderly lady waved at me who recognized me, I waved back at her with a whole-hearted smile. I continued to look ahead as I was almost a quarter away from my halfway point.
I jogged up the bridge that a had highway underneath it. As I was listening to my music to egg me on, I looked forward to see a man maybe in his 20s or 30s over the railing as he looked down at the ongoing traffic under the bridge.
I knew what came next if no one interfered so I jumped into action and forced my way into the situation. I grabbed the man just as he was about to drop and threw him over the hand railing towards the safety of the bridge.
At that moment I didn't care if he got a couple of scratches, along as he was alive I was okay with it. "Are you okay?" I asked him and looked for any sign of emotion. He looked really dazed and as I watched him, he passed out in my arms.
"It's gonna be okay." I reassured him, not sure if he could even hear me while he was unconscious. I called an ambulance and lied to the people saying I was his brother. I knew it was wrong but I wanted to make sure he was okay; plus something about him just attracted me to him, but I wasn't sure what it was.
