Once upon a weary dream,
through the reflection a troublesome gleam,

in the black I spy its eyes,
precursors to the blackened skies,

as I stare and wonder in awe,
It moves closer revealing its maw,

at night it hunts on the prowl,
stepping closer I hear it growl,

uncertain as to what it desires,
turning slowly to a set of spires,

guiding me along the way,
I follow in silence not sure what to say,

upon arrival it disappears,
as a gate lowers fashioned from spears,

stepping into the spire I see a man, darkness entwined he has a plan,

wishes to grant me eternal life,
if only I bear his burden of strife,

reluctantly so I agree to the terms,
as all around I'm surrounded by worms,

laughter ensues from the pitchest dark,
as he lays upon my face his mark,

out of the black is only red,
nothing could brace a man for this dread,

near the gates my body splinters,
a sign to all who would dare enter,

before my death I see my love,
happily existing in the light above,

no way to escape this accursed reality, condemned forever is my totality..
