Logan lied on the bed as I pace back and fourth. I hadn't spoken but a few words since the park. I was in a blatant state of confusion. It couldn't have been her. I don't understand why my eyes would fool me to see such a thing. If she were really here in the flesh We would have to leave. I could not have my children anywhere near them.
"Mommy!" I heard Rendall scream, sounding frightened. I hurriedly rushes out of the room and down the hall. Logan behind me. I barged into the room and it was a mess. Zaine was in the corner crying. Logan tended to Rendall whilst I went over to my precious boy.
"Zaine?" I questioned softly.
"Mom it hurts, it hurts." he sobbed.
"What hurts?" I asked confusion laced in my tone. He choke on another sob and he turned to show me his back. His bones moved underneath his skin. He was shifting. Would he be like me? A Moon God perhaps?
"Logan he's...he's shifting," I whispered still stunned.
"What?" he asked.
"He's shifting! Our boy is shifting!" I said a little more excited.
"Ok, Zaine I know it hurts," I continued, " Just focus on moma's voice ok? It's gonna be okay." I spoke and continued to whisper sweet nothing to him as he completed the process. We were now in the backyard so that Logan could put Rendall to sleep. After a few hours he had transformed into a small pup. He fur was white with blue eyes. I shifted as well to help him feel more comfortable. Logan joined us soon after as we all went running. It was an amazing night I'd never forget.
The next morning I finally decided to tell Logan about what I had seen and as I expected he told me it was just my imagination messing with me. He assured me that it wasn't real, but I still felt unsafe. Later that day me, Zaine and Rendall went outside to play ball while Logan tended to his Alpha duties.
Zaine and Rendall were twins but couldn't be anymore different. Rendall, my beautiful daughter was outgoing, outspoken. She made friends easily and enjoyed adventures. She was a momas girl but not nearly as much as Zaine was. My special boy. He was more reserved. He always looked to me for answers or before he did anything. He was very unsure of himself. I was scared for his teen years. I felt he'd be very easily persuaded by his peers.
Zaine hardly ever left my side. His world revolved around his mother.
I stared at them in awe knowing I created these beautiful creature with the help of Logan. I don't know what I'd do without my babies.
Zaine made the ball into the basket and turned to me with a huge grin. Seeming to be looking to see if I had seen his success. I smiled back at him. Rendall gave her brother a high five before they both ran to tackling me to the ground with their hugs. I laughed as I dwells in this moment of pure happiness. Logan has absolutely given me the best life I could ever ask for.
I certainly would forever be in debt to him.
