Don't worry, even if I leave,

you'll do well on your own

- First Love

"You can't do this! It's my dream!" I exclaimed loudly. I'm sure the whole neighbourhood could hear me. We don't live in a very big house anyway.

"Hanako, we've been through this before, composing music won't give you a promising job." My mum reasoned. I noticed that she didn't even use my nickname 'Hana'.

"WHY DO YOU ONLY CARE ABOUT MONEY" I was shouting now, tears streaming down my face. "WHAT ABOUT WHAT I WANT IN LIFE, DO YOU EVEN CARE?!

"I'M DOING WHAT'S BEST FOR YOU!" She was yelling now too.

Instead of yelling back, I calmed myself down and gave her a steady glare. "If you won't support me I'm leaving."

Her voice faltered, "Hanako..." My heart broke seeing her begging me like this, but I had been waiting for an opportunity like this for my whole life. I knew what I had to do.

Without saying anything, I grabbed my already packed bag and walked out the door. I gave one last look at my mum, and paused when I saw her eyes, staring emotionless at me as if I wasn't her daughter. As if she didn't know who I was anymore.

I rushed down the morning streets of Seoul, heading to Hannam the Hill, where I would be working as a composer for a band. All that I was told was that I would be working with two other singer songwriters. I hate group composing with a passion, so we'll see how this goes... hopefully the other two are decent people.

My stomach rumbled with hunger. I never eat breakfast. FOOD IS FOR THE WEAK. Nah I'm just too poor to be bothered.

As I reached the richer area of Seoul, I couldn't help but look at how well off these people are. Most of the lights in the rooms weren't on, they didn't need to get up early to work anyway.

I quickened my pace in fear of being late on my first day. Even though it had been a week since I have seen my mum, her words still rang clearly through my head. I felt tears prickle in my eyes. The longing to make her proud of her daughter swelled inside me, and I was filled with determination. Music was definitely the right choice.

I couldn't help but gape at the building in front of me. It was the prettiest , cleanest thing that I had ever seen in my whole life. In the daylight, the blue-tinted windows glistened and the whole place just looked like a resort.

"Aish are you going to stand here all day staring at our house". An annoyed voice said behind me.

Startled, I whipped my head around, only to come face to face with the most gorgeous man ever. His milky white skin made my mouth open even wider. His light blue hair fell into his eyes and his knees showing through his ripped jeans. I couldn't help but stare at his beautifully shaped legs that were as thin as a woman's. Damn, this guy is hot.

He looked at me as if I was a dumb fish... wait I am one ahahah. He stared at me, waiting for an answer.

Hanako be professional!

Say something!

"What do you use on your skin!?"

Great. Just great. My stupid mouth with no filter.

He replied almost instantly, as if he didn't have to think. "Water".

"JUST WATER!?"

He looked at me with an amused expression.

"What's your name?"

"Mori Hanako" I replied while bowing to him.

Without saying anything back, he walked off towards the building and with no clue of where I was going, the only thing I could do was follow him.

He didn't even introduce himself

"Rude" I muttered under my breath.

"I heard that, you know"
