Many soldiers out there were getting killed by the enemies, some of them manage to survive. You were helping out Gilbert just to back him up. You've been his apprentice for a long time, he taught you how to survive. He saved your life once, from those bastards who were trying to rape you back then. Well, good thing it didn't happen. Gilbert offered you to join the ledienschaftlich army, and you accepted it. you became his apprentice. He taught you everything you need to know about being a soldier. Although, he has never been strict with you every time you do something wrong. He has always shown his kindness towards you, and he treats you very well. His older brother, Dietfried Bougainvillea, naval captain in the navy. he doesn't really like you much, you get a little pissed and annoyed with Dietfried whenever he shoots a glare at you. you often get into fight with him. And Gilbert, on the other hand , tries to break it off. Also, you became friends with an peculiar confusing girl named Violet, whom doesn't understand anything in this world. Sometimes you like to help her when she's struggling to understand something. Dietfried ordered you and Gilbert to use Violet as a tool. Instead, you and Gilbert treated her with kindness and compassion. you two shown your respect towards her. You wanted Violet to become a normal human being, instead of becoming a 'weapon'. "Gilbert! Violet! where are you ?!" You yelled worryingly, searching for them through the woods. Three of you got separated after the enemies ambushed you into a trap. Rest of the unit got killed and others are still alive out there somewhere. "(Y/N)!" you heard Gilbert calling out for you, whilst trying to find you. Surprisingly, He spotted you nearby the lake. Gilbert came over to you quickly and asked you if you were okay. You thought he was never going to find you. Luckily, he did. "I don't see Violet anywhere..."You began to worry more. "Let's go and find her before she gets herself killed" Gilbert said firmly, dashing away as you follow him behind. You heard gunshots through the wood and you can also hear men screaming as they march on. Suddenly, you got a shot on the left shoulder and also on a leg, by someone hiding behind a tree, and you accidentally trip over onto the ground. You struggle to stand up on your feet.

"(Y/N)!" Gilbert came quickly to cover you whilst you trying to stand up,but end back on the ground. He shot a bullet through the man's head with his pistol and then carries you in his arms. Your left shoulder and your leg was bleeding heavily, you were trying to mumble something to Gilbert and he barely even heard you. Violet came by and got rid of some enemies. After that she followed you and Gilbert, getting out of the woods. "We have to go! there's way too many of them...REST OF YOU RETREAT!" Gilbert ordered his men whom are still alive. They manage to getaway from the enemies. But some got shot to death. "Gilbert....it's bleeding badly.." You really said, whilst in pain. "Don't worry, (Y/N), you'll be fine. We will get you recovered when we head back to our headquarters," Gilbert promised, still holding you into his arms. You shut your eyes slowly and fall into a slumber.

-Five days later-

In your room, you were lying down on the bed, reading your favourite (B/N). Still recovering from your wounds. It doesn't bother you at all, you've gotten used to the pain. A sudden someone came knocking your door, just to check on you. "Come in.." you shut your book and leave it at the side. Gilbert walked in and close the door behind him, "Hey (Y/N), how you holding up?' He walks over to you and sits at the left side of the bed. "I'm doing well, thanks for asking, sir" you smiled weakly, "I'm getting a little better.."
