Alexis's P.O.V

~the next morning~

"Well don't you look happy?" Nick said, with a gigantic smile on his face.

"Yes, you do. Spill." Dove added.

"Okay, well... Last night when we were at the street fair, Matt told me that he umm.... He loved me..." I replied.

"And..." Michaela said.

"It's such a reliever! I told him I loved him too, I didn't want to say it to early in the relationship and I was doubting his love for me for a while then he truly expressed how much he really loves me!" I rambled with excitement.

"Oh that's so good! I'm really happy for you guys." Michaela said.

We were all out in the living room, except for Josh and Matt who were still fast asleep.

"He also gave me this." I said, showing off my necklace. "He said he seen it at the market and thought of me."

Now, I wasn't really the gushy romantic type, but it was so nice to know that the one I loved. Loved me back the way that I loved him.

About a half hour later, Josh and Matt strolled out of bed.

"Good morning sleepy heads." Dove said to them.

Josh just half waved, as his eyes weren't even fully open yet. Matt was mostly awake, he waltzed over to the couch and sat down beside me. He woke up a bit, leaned over and gave me a kiss and said, "good morning beautiful."

Only for Dove and Michaela to ruin it with an "AWWWW!"

We sat around for a little bit longer. Today was our last day before the Princess Ball, we were going out on a nature hike up the mountain of Melody. Tomorrow morning would be the 'get your butt in gear' morning, so we figured we should better enjoy our last full day of exploring on Melody. It would be a nice retreat, being here makes me feel like I'm at home on Earth.

~a few hours later~

"Everyone ready? Now we have to stick together, although there aren't many dangers in these forests, we can get lost." Dove informed us.

"Yes, ready as I'll ever be." Matt said, in a scared voice. Matt was scared of heights, just the tiniest bit. We were climbing a mountain, so I can imagine how that would be for him. Nonetheless, I grabbed his hand and we started hiking up behind Dove together.

There was a lot of green, bushes, trees, shrubs, everything. Until we got up to an opening with some coloured trees.

"I wonder what these are?" Michaela asked.

"I don't know, I think they are dragon fruits. We have them at home on Lynphea, I don't know if they are indigenous to Melody." Dove said, studying her guidebook.

"Well, one way to find out." Josh said, going to pick one and take a bite out of it.

He bit into it slowly, we heard the crunching sound of it coming off.

"Hmm, it tastes a lot like an apple." He said.

"Really? What colour is it inside?" Dove asked, flipping through he book.

"It's a light pink." Josh told her.

"Here it is, they are called Clef Fruit. They grow here on red and pink coloured trees!" Dove said happily, as she found her page.

"I want to try one!" Michaela said, as Josh grabbed her one from the tree.

"Me too, you want one?" Matt asked me, jumping for two Clef Fruits.

"Sure, thanks." I said, as he handed me one.

"Mmm! These are really good." Michaela said.

"Amazing." Nick said.

I liked them a lot, they were, now, one of my new favourite fruits.

"What do you think? Like it?" I asked Matt.

"This is good, now if only veggies tasted like this." He responded.

"Yes! That's my point too." Nick agreed happily.

"Okay, we are almost at the top. Then we can go back home. I'm excited to see the view. Apparently you can see the whole kingdom from up there." Dove said, starting for the path beyond the trees.

It was nice and shaded under the trees. It got nice and cool until we would hit a heat patch. Everywhere we stopped, Dove would be taking pictures of plants and small animals and writing it down in another book. She was very, nature happy, I guess you could say.

"I think it's just up ahead." Nick informed us all, as we walked up to a large light patch that started to turn from grassy land to rock.

"Here it is." Dove said. "Melody Point."

The view was absolutely breathtaking. You could see the castle, the market, you could see every single street and building from up here. The view was filled with lots of green and splashes of colour.

I turned my head, and seen Matt clinging to me like glue as he could now tell how high up we were.

"It's ok, I won't let you fall." I assured him.

"I know, I'm still scared of heights though." He replied.

"Don't worry." I said, giving him a kiss. "You can trust me."

We sat up here, and watched the sunset collapse over the kingdom. It was truly beautiful. Like nothing I have ever seen.
