~Chapter Eight~

HERCULES' POV

Lafayette did something unexpected. Before I could answer his question with "you're not a gay fag", he shoved me out of the doorway and slammed the door. Marian came out of her room.

"Hey Herc...what happened?"

It was the first time I talked to her since the day Lafayette got here.

"I...I don't know."

Jut then Eliza came busting through the door. My mom works at night so she didn't wake up. For a minute I was thinking 'how in the world (that was wide enough) did she get in here', but then I remembered I gave everyone a key. Except Laf.

She came knocking ing on Lafayette's door.

"Lafayette, sweetie, open the door please."

Soon came Angelica and the rest of the group. I went in my room. Or I tried to, but Angelica wouldn't let me.

"I don't know what you did, but it wasn't just the kiss. We all know you two like each other so what the hell is the problem?"

Wait. Lafayette likes me? No. That's not possible.

"I don't know what I di- oh no. I know exactly what I did......"

"......"

"......"

"Well? What'd you do?!"

"I was about to tell him something , but then Peggy ruined the moment. After that I said sorry for kissing him."

After I said that, I could tell Angelica was about say something, but instead, she popped me upside the head. And I promise, if looks could kill, I'd be dead.

"Now go fix your mistake."

I was about to get up when I heard Lafayette scream.

"Just go away!! I'm not worth your time!! Please leave me be!!"

Everyone walked out of his room. John stopped next to me.

"Make it right or so help me."

I was about to go in his room, but he slammed it in front of me. What have I done?

LAFAYETTE'S POV

PEGGY'S POV

I was so sad that Laffy didn't want to talk to anyone. I mean, we were just starting to be good friends. And then Herc had to screw it all up!! Way to go Hercules Mulligan!! I tried visiting him but he refused to open the door. For anyone. Herc told me he only comes out to fix him something to eat and he eats in his room. Him and Laf haven't talked since the party and it's been four fucking weeks!! He actually hasn't talked to anyone since the party. He has some classes with Herc and some with me and John. We can all tell that he's been cutting himself lately but he doesn't talk to anyone about it, so we can't tell him we know. And when we do try to tell him, he just walks away or yells at us. The only time he talks is when we're in class. I miss my friend. Everyone misses him. Especially Hercules.

LAFAYETTE'S POV

I haven't talked to anyone since the night of the party. I refuse any help. They all know I started cutting myself recently. Eliza and Peggy try to help. They are the only people I consider talking to, but I still don't. Sometimes I end up being partners with Hercules but I still don't talk to him. It's like France all over again. If we're being honest, I miss him. I miss him a lot. I miss everyone else too. I miss my mom. I miss everyone and anyone who has ever cared about me. I think I might make a group chat with them. Yeah. I think that's what I'll do.
