After lunch, I headed to the same place I had just kissed Alex: the lockerroom. As I entered, I was greeted by four of my friends all whom had smiling faces. "What just happened?!," they asked in unison. "I honestly have no idea." "How far did you guys go...?" one of them asked. "You guys are so nosy!," I laughed. A few other girls came in. They were laughing about something that seemed like the funniest thing in the world. "I know! What a slut." Wow that's harsh, I thought. Why would you call someone that on the first day of school and what were they talking about? The others laughed. "I can't believe she kissed him on the first day!" she said staring at me. Everyone turned towards me and I finished changing. My cheeks flushed to a color I wasn't even familiar of and I felt a single tear in my eye. As I was tying my shoe laces I felt a hand on my back, thinking it was my friend trying to be nice I smiled. At least they know it was a dare and I hadn't just thrown myself at Alex. I headed out of the locker room alone thinking about what I had just heard. Seriously? A slut? No, I am not a slut! I mean this was my first kiss... I felt angry again and went to the gym which was surronded by boys. I looked embarrased wishing I had waited for my other friends. As I walked past the crowd to get a sip of water from the waterfountain, I noticed that a couple of them laughed. What now? "Hey Megan, I wouldn't mind going to second with you!" WHAT? Um. Ew. Why would he say that? When I got a drink Alex walked towards me. Hoping I looked decent I gave him a flirty look. "Hey Megan. I'm sorry they're so disgusting. Here let me take that off for you." He reached behind my back in the same spot my friend had patted me. He took of a post-it note that read, "Free kisses for the beetchezz." I felt my face flush again and I looked away. They were probably only jealous, I thought optimisticly. Honestly it's the first day. I wasn't planning this at all! Alex touched my should and said, "It's alright! They don't know better anyways. It was just immature." I smiled. He's so sweet I thought. We walked into the gym and were greeted by the new gym teacher. "Welcome back! I am Mr. Griffiths. We will start by playing a little game to get to know each other. Gather in a circle." We did as we were told and I looked across the circle at my three friends each giving me a sympathetic look. I was grateful that I had such caring friends. "Okay we will go accross the circle and say our name, our homeroom, and one thing about ourselves that we are proud of." We went around the circle until we reached to one of the girls who were laughing about how me and Alex kissed. "Emily, Mrs. Rose, and I am proud of hooking up with Alex over the summer." I was shocked. We all stared at Alex and he laughed, "She's only joking." The girls that were sitting next to Emily all giggled. I was relieved. It might sound a bit cheesy but I think I am going to say yes. If I do I don't want to have known that Alex has hooked up with a rude fake girl. If she called me a slut then let the games begin. I glared at her and hoped the gym teacher didn't see. He already looked uncomfertable. After the circle game we played a friendly game of dodgeball. Our team won obviously with more of the athletic boys, and the day was almost over. The next two periods went over in a blur and it was time to go home! I headed back on the bus ready to tell Jana all about what had happened today.
