" Miss Delafontaine straighten your back please! Stop slouching like a child." Mr. Adolphe Baudelaire yells. We have been at it for like 2 hours, and frankly I was tired of standing. He needed me straight like a pin so he could design the perfect dress, so he says. I couldn't help but roll my eyes. I am so glad he didn't catch it, because he probably would have slapped my arm with his stupid book if he did. I already had that experience from yesterday and my god I don't want to experience it again.

" Mon chéri, how tall are you again." Adolphe says with his pen on the paper of his book.

" My-my height is 5,8 ." I stutter  which was caused by his sudden booming voice.

" Mon Beau this dress is going to outshine all the others I promise you. You will look fantastique! Come along now Scarlett we have work to be done! " He yells and literally skips out my door. The man is absurd. One second he is scolding me, and the next he is skipping and calling me lovely endearments in French. Hopefully Scarlett, my seamstress, can handle him.

When the coast his clear I jump off the stand and lay down on my bed. I close my eyes hoping to take a nap, but right as I closed my eyes there is a knock at my door. I groan trudging my way to the door.

I open the door and a young little boy his there with a letter and a bag that was full of even more.

" You are Lady Gisselle right?" He questions with the cutest voice.

" Yes I am, and who might you be?" I smile at him. He blushes and hands me the letter. I take it softly.

" I am Easton. I deliver mail to everyone in the palace. My father is the head chef in the kitchen." Oh god he is so cute.

" Well Easton it is a pleasure meeting you. I am Gisselle you can call me El for short if you want to."

" Nice to meet you El. I have to go deliver the rest of these letter, have a nice day." the kid Easton with curly brown hair and a front tooth missing says.

"Bye Easton." I say as I shut my door.

I look at the letter and oh so carefully open it so I was not to tear and rip the beautiful envelope. The remnant of the envelope held a beautifully written letter that I now remembered was the princes letter that we would be receiving.  I unfold the paper and start to read the letter.

   Dear Gisselle Delafontaine,

I am as you know the soon to be king of Estella. If you aren't quite sure of my name, then it would be my pleasure to tell you that it is Luca. I wanted to let you know that you won't be able to see me, but I will be able to see you. So I will basically be examining how you act and with that knowledge I will be deciding if I want to eliminate you or keep you. In case I do eliminate you it is going to be because I find you distasteful and not right to be queen, or because I don't think we are compatible. My first examination will be at supper so please act how you would normally I honestly don't want to marry someone fake that will end up ruining my kingdom. All my wishes for the best to you Gisselle and our first "meeting."

                                        Sincerely,                                                                                                                                                                                               Luca Mariano.

I can tell by some of his wording that he basically finds this a chore. Which annoys me. He didn't have to write letters to us, he chose to do that. I still am confused on why he is basically hiding from us. " I can see you but you cant see me," that is actually quite eerie.
