A Painfull Goodbye

As I stop at his house. I Tell him we are here.

Ethan starts crying.

John: I know buddy. It's going to be okay I'll come and visit every now then okay?
Ethan: Okay.

He runs up to me and gives me his biggest hug yet.

Ethan: I love you.

John: I love you too.

We say our final goodbyes as we part our own ways.
When I get home it's about 1am so I head to my room to get some sleep.

I wake up and go to the park.

John: It's not the same.

I decide to go home and get ready for School

Time Skip a Few days

It's Saturday. I wake up and go down stairs to eat and watch the news.

The news goes on and on about some stupid stuff. I really wish Ethan was here.

News Reporter: We are live at a car accident on route 101. There were 5 people in the car and all survived but one. The one who died was named Ethan Echo.

John: No,no,no,no,no,no!

I try pinching myself to try and wake up. It didn't work.

How? Why?

I cried way more than I did when my parents died.

My phone was getting all sorts of messages. I didn't even check.

I skipped the next few days of school.

Time Skip too September 21st.

Today is Ethan's Birthday. It is also his funeral.

After the funeral I go home and make some lunch by myself.

I decide to reply to my messages.

Most were from Natsuki and Sayori.

I decide to ask Natsuki how she is doing?

Text Message

John: Hey how are you doing?

Natsuki: I need to ask you something.

John: Okay.

Natsuki: Can I move in with you?

John: Sure have my Parents room.

I start crying knowing that is were His room was.

Natsuki: Ok thanks be over in a few hours.
John: ok
Natsuki: Are you okay?
John: I'm holding up okay.
Natsuki: Ok let's talk later bye!
John:Bye.

I return to laying on my couch non stop thinking about Ethan. My door opens to reveal Sayori with a box in her gloves.

Sayori: Are you okay?
John: No
Sayori: What happened is not your fault.
John: I can't take this. He made my life bright when it was dark.
I keep sobbing on the couch.

Sayori: I got you something.
John: Oh really?
Sayori: Here!

I take the box from her and begin the open it.

I pull out something that looks like locket.

John: What is this?
Sayori: Lockets! We put a photo of us in the locker for us to remember.
John: That this is awesome! Thanks Sayori.

I have always had a small crush on Sayori.

John: I'm glad your my friend.
Sayori: Why?
John: No matter how sad I am, you always find a way to cheer me up.
Sayori: I'm here for you even the darkest times.
Sayori: Since my therapy appointment is today, I was wondering if you could come with me?
John: Sure why not. Let me just text someone first.

I quickly text Natsuki that

John: I probably won't be home so the key is under the door mat
Natsuki: K

After I put my phone away. Sayori grabs my hand and pulls me to the car. I blush while she does so.

Time Skip to after therapy.

Sayori: Thanks for taking me!
John: No problem!
Sayori: See you tomorrow at school.
John: See ya.

I walk inside to find Natsuki cooking dinner.

Natsuki: Where were you at?
John: I just had to take Sayori to therapy.
Natsuki: Oh.I was just wondering.
She smiles lightly at me.
John: Did you ever do the paper yet?
Natsuki: Yeah. I'm not that impolite.
John: Sure!
Natsuki: Hey!

She throws a stale cookie at me.

John: Geez that cookie hurts!
Natsuki: It meant to hurt.

Time Skip to Friday

Monika: Before Class is dismissed, I would like to inform you that I'm having a sleepover on Saturday and you ALL are invited!

I really can't stand to be near Monika, after I learned that she stalked me.

John: Club is dismissed.

Sayori: Do you wanna walk home with me?
John: Why not?
Sayori: Yay!
Monika: Can I ask you something? ALONE?
Before I can respond she pulled me back into the club.

Monika: Ethan was a punk. He deserved to die.

John: You're a f**king B*tch! Screw you and your party. It's probably some trap anyway.

Monika: You will come or I will hurt the ones that are close to you.
John: Fine. I'm mad at myself for thinking you were a nice person.

I slam the door in her face.

I go catch up to Sayori.

Sayori: What did she want?
John: To tell me something about the sleepover.
Sayori: Oh okay.
