"Adelyn!" I started to cry. One simple thing can affect your whole world.
I tucked her in tighter, cuddling her body close as tears ran down my cheeks. "I love you, sweetheart. Don't leave me. Please, don't leave me."
The figure appeared once more. "Love Adelyn? You love her?"
"She's the sweetest girl I've ever met, I adopted her. I wanted to protect her. Please say she'll be safe from now on."
The figure shot ice at Adelyn's body, covering it in thick ice.
"Don't let the body get too cold, Liam." She laughed menacingly, disappearing once more, the icy snow being left in a pile under her feet. I looked at Adelyn's body. I immediately rushed, turning every source of heat on and covering her body in blankets, every sweater I owned. Every piece of fabric except the clothes I was wearing. I waiting hours. Crying the whole time. The ice became lower, but I knew this was it. No more Adelyn. No more world. I wanted her back. She just could brighten a room in a way nobody else could. She was so sweet, so outgoing, and optimistic. She was always so happy and could make anybody smile when given the chance. Everybody loved her. But she was the new kid at school and I knew the feeling of what it's like to be in that position.
I slept next the body for days. Only leaving to use the bathroom. And even then, I rushed to get back to her. Weeks later, the ice was finally gone. Everything surrounding was soaked but I didn't mind. I hugged Adelyn tight as she said softly, "Who's that girl that looks like me, Liam?" She pointed to the figure.
"I'm you, Adelyn. I've been appearing to Liam, for he, is your guardian angel. Stay out of trouble, and don't get hurt too bad. I know you can't control some things that happen and I may be able to let that stuff slide. But Adelyn, respect Liam." Two more figures appeared around the Adelyn figure.
"Mum, Dad!" Adelyn yelled, holding me tightly. I smiled.
"It's nice to see you, bumblebee!" The man smiled.
"Are you having a good time here with Liam? I hope he's taking great care of you, sweetheart." The mother laughed.
"I'm taking care of her." I kissed her cheek and looked at the parents. "She's such an amazing little girl. Absolutely wonderful."
"We have to go now, you two. We love you, Adelyn." The mother smiled, and all of them chained hands, and disappeared. Addy hugged me tightly, and buried her face in my shoulder.
"I'm cold, Liam." She spoke softly. I let her change clothes out of her icy, wet clothes, and cuddled her to sleep. I then, went in my room and thought about everything we've been through together. Adelyn Mysteeke is a strange girl, a very strange girl indeed. Everything about her was mysterious, but could put a smile on your face. She was the type to make people laugh. All above, she's my daughter now. And I would crawl to the ends of the Earth to keep her safe.
This was the story of Adelyn Mysteeke.
