Levi X Reader- Not So Cold- Part Two

We finally caught up to the others. They were setting up tents, making a fire and getting the cooking supplies all together. It smell like a mixture of sweat, blood and herbs, but to me, it smelled like Levi's colonge. I couldn't put my finger on it, but it smelled so familiar... Like I've smelt it before i came into the Corps... Strange...

I shrugged it as Levi and I landed firmly on the ground infront of the fire. His right arm was wrapped tightly around my waist while his left arm made sure the 3DM Gear went back into place on his belt.

Everyone ran up to us and was asking questions. I was getting a little scared by it all, it's not like a mob of people run up to you and shout random questions at you every day while a sex god's holding onto you.

Wait... Did I just call Levi... A sex god...?

I took a deep breathe and tried to control myself while our comrades got even closer to us.

"Hey! Shut the fuck up you maggots!" Levi yelled. "We're fine. Everything is just fine." 

I buried my head into his chest while he yelled since he was so loud. As soon as he stopped yelling, he lowered his voice into a talking manor which was unusual for him. He loved to yell at us.

I felt a hand rub my back very lightly, as if it didn't want anyone else to notice it was there... I turned my head slightly and saw Levi's shoulder.

It was his hand? When did he become so comforting? I thought to myself.

"We've had a hard, long day. Get the food ready. After dinner, everyone get some shut eye! I'll decide who guards with me tonight afterwards!" Levi said and let go of my back and stepped away from me since the rest of our comrades were backing off.

I shivered when he left. His body was so warm and the night air was so cold. I rubbed my right arm lightly, but it hurt a little when I did. I thought it was strange so I just shrugged it off and walked over to Armin.

"Hello, Armin!" I said and smiled at the little blonde boy who I've grown to love like a brother.

"Hello, (Y/N)! How'd today go for you? I heard you almost got eaten by a titan," he replied with large, smypathetic blue orbs.

"Yeah, I did. But Eren pushed me out of the way just in time. I'm glad he knows about my condition." I sighed and thought about what happened and about my arm hurting. Maybe I landed on it wrong? Or what if it's broken?

"You and I both. You're the best cook here! I don't know what I'd do if Eren had to cook one more time." Armin made a "bleh" sound and hunched over as if he was throwing up.

I giggled and looked over to where Levi walked off to. "Speaking of Eren, do you know where he is? I would like to thank him for today."

Armin pointed to where the captain walked off to. "Over there. I gotta go! I've got to get some firewood! Bye, (Y/N)!" He shouted as he ran off.

"Bye, Armin! Thank you!" I shouted back. I turned towards the way that Armin pointed to me and started walking. It didn't take long for me to hear Levi's voice, which scared me. I've never been able to tell the captain's voice from this distance unless he was shouting at someone.

"Look here, Jagear, you don't fucking push her, you don't fucking touch her, you don't even fucking look at her! That's an order." Levi growled at the brown haired boy. He had Eren by the collar of his shirt, up against a tree.

"That'll be hard, sir. We're friends." Eren managed to choke out.

"Friends don't push friends into trees surrounded by titans," Levi countered.

"They also don't go along their happy way while a titan jumps on them and eats them!" Eren shouted in anger.

Levi dropped him and took a deep breathe. "This is pointless."

I moved a little bit and a twig snapped from where I was hiding behind one of the white tents. I covered my mouth and cursed at mysle ffor being so careless.

"Come on out from over there. We know you're there." Eren said and rubbed his throat lightly where Levi had him pinned.

I walked slowly out, my head looking towards the ground. "H-hi."

"What're you doing. (Y/N)?" Levi asked with what seemed like... warmth? In his voice.

"I just wanted to thank Eren. For pushing me out of the way and saving me from dying today." I bowed  and smiled with my head tilted.

"No problem, (Y/N). You just need to tell people your condition. I can't look out for you all the time." Levi's eyes snapped towards Eren as he mentioned my "condition."

"What is he talking about? What condition?"

I sighed and my smile dropped. "Eren, leave."

Eren nodded and headed off to go help with the food. I looked at the ground and played with my fingers. "I don't really know how to explain it..."

"That's why you just say it. If it's something I've already heard of then maybe we can get it fixed," Levi said and  walked towards me a little.

"It's not something we can just fix Levi..."

"Why? Are you pregnant?" His voice sounded alarmed and he placed both hands on my shoulders and shook me a little bit. "Who's is it? Who did it? I'll kill that fucking son of a bitch!"

"I'm not pregnant, Levi!" I shouted at him and he stopped. "I'm blind..." I said in a small whisper.

His hands dropped from my shoulders. "Blind?''

"Yeah, as in I can't see. I was born this way."

"You can't be in the Corps if you're blind, (Y/N)!" He nearly yelled.

"There's no law against it, Levi!"

"It's common sense! It's fucking suicide! You can't be in the Corps! It's too dangerous!" He shouted back, but low enough so no one would hear us arguing.

"It's my life! I can-"

I was cut off with a Levi putting a rough, calloused hand on my neck and his other on my lower back. But that wasn't what silenced me. It was the kiss.

It's Levi we're talking about here. I expected it to be hard and passoinate and fast pacing, but this was sweet and gentle and seemed to last forever. When it ended, I wanted it to last forever. I didn't want it to end.

"You can't be in the Corps, (Y/N)," He whispered as he gently pulled me to his chest. "I can't lose you. Not to the titans."

I placed my head on his shoulder. "I'm not quitting the military, Levi."

"You don't have to. Just transfer around a little a be my assisstant. When we have to leave to go on a mission, I can always make you stay there at the office and run things for me." He started rubbing my back again, and I could feelt he warmth of him going through me.

Some people say Levi is cold hearted, but they've never seen this side of him, never been in this embrace with him, never had him love them like this. I can honestly say that this IS love. You can't see, you can't hear it, but you feel it.

Just because I'm blind, doesn't mean I can't see how Levi looks at me now that we're married and have three children. I can feel it when he does look at me. Even when he's angry with, there's always that warmth that I felt that night we first kissed. It's always there. Even when we kiss now, and our children think it's gross, it's always that first kiss.

Levi's not as cold as everyone makes him out to be.
