"Mia."

We were all surprised. Patience had just addressed the fact that someone was trying to sabotage her wedding. Through all the stuff that I was going through to try to sabotage it, she wasn't talking about me.

She was talking about Mia.

I could see Ethan's eyes watching mine. He was sweating a storm. How did Patience not notice it? He seemed like he just dodged a bullet. Then both our eyes went to Mia...like everyone else's did.

"What?" Mia asked, taking off her sunglasses and slamming them on the table, "I am NOT trying to sabotage your wedding."

"I discovered your plan," Patience stated, "I know how you've been contacting people from my hometown...trying to fly them out to this wedding."

It wasn't Mia...no that was Pony and Peter who had said they'd be contacting people from the Grove to try to get them to come to the wedding and expose Patience for the posing as a rich girl.

Fuck, my tongue ran across my mouth as my brain struggled not to say anything. Mia was being blamed for something that she didn't even do!

"What? Why would I do that?" Mia asked and got up out of the chair, "I wouldn't do that Patience!"

"Sit down!"

Patience voice boomed like a thunderclap. Mia didn't just sit back in the chair. She collapsed into the chair. I could feel a hand on my thigh.

"Why would it matter though?" her voice asked in a much softer voice, almost pleading, "Even if I did do it...which I didn't. Why would it matter?"

Patience looked around the room, "If any of you repeat what you are about to hear...I would never forgive you. I mean it too...I'll do something so bad to you. I promise! You know I don't make idle threats! Anywho... Chauncey and I are not, let's say, the richest people in the world. Remember what I said! I will get back if this information gets out. So... due to unfortunate circumstances our family lost money. We live in a less then becoming part of less then becoming place. All that is not going to matter in two weeks though. I am getting married. And as long as I am the BITCH I think I am; there is nothing Mia nor any other resentful cunt is going to do about it!".

Patience was looking at me as she said it. Her eyes were so knowing...but she couldn't know that I was plotting against her to. Still the look was so eerie.

"I didn't, I swear," Mia said.

Mia ran up to Patience. I thought she was going to hug her, but she fell in front of Patience and started to bawl her eyes all over all her fashionable pieces. I looked over at Ethan and then looked over at Vince. They were all watching, emotionless. How could they be so cold...how could everyone be so clearly unbothered by Mia's pain?

"Oh you didn't?" Patience said, pulling out an envelope.

She pulled some files out the envelope and scattered them around the table. No one really reached for them to pick them up, but we all leaned in to see what they were.

Photos of Mia...with strange men.

Receipts of reservations of hotels room in Mia's name.

Pre-ordered plane tickets on Mia's credit card that had names of people from the Grove labeled on it.

"What the hell are these!" Mia demanded.

No one spoke. Patience just stood there and grimaced. The rest of them leaned back in their seats like little kids after one of their siblings got in trouble.

This didn't make sense...why would Pony frame Mia for it? Why was he even getting her involved?
"The proof has been lain out," Patience explained.
