I smiled as Malik put down the last box in our room. He glanced at me and gave a thumbs up before flopping on the floor. Sweat beads slid down his tan face and I walked to the kitchen, to grab ice water for my love.
Hands slithered around my waist and a chin rested on my shoulder. I turned around and hung my arms around Malik's neck, I stood up on my toes to kiss his nose. I moved away before handing him his water. He chugged the water down quickly and muttered a thank you while placing the cup into the sink.
"Babe, wanna go have dinner. We can cuddle after and watch Netflix." Malik's said with his head titled. I grinned and nodded my head. "Sounds good my love."
He nodded his head and walked to the bathroom. My smile instantly dropped as my watch beeped. An alarm tripped in the nearby bank. I clenched my fists and grabbed my keys. "Hey love! Work called, I uh- I'll be back in forty."
I ran to my car and pressed a button on my watch, morphing my suit onto my body. How? I have no clue, seriously.
As soon as I got to the bank, I rolled my eyes. I walked into the bank easily, since no one could see me. It was part of my power, invisibility. This is too easy. With one swift move, I got the gun from the robber and he was in handcuffs.
I released my power and showed my face. "Sorry bud, time for you to go to your new home for the next five to eight years."
The man snarled and was pulled into a cop car. I shrugged before walking away, a small smile on my face. That smile disappeared when my junk car wouldn't start. So, I had to walk.
By the time I reached home, I was heaving. I was completely out of breath. Yeah, I am a superhero but man was it hard to walk ten miles.
"What happened to you, you look like you got hit by a bus.". I narrowed my eyes at Malik and walked off to the room before stripping to take a shower. I walked past Malik without a word and his jaw dropped.
"I-I. Need help with that shower?" I shook my head before closing the door. That'll teach him. I stood underneath the cold water with my eyes closed. Although I was happy today's incident was minor, I couldn't help but wonder about mystery villain. He hadn't done anything suspicious within the last two weeks, it made me wonder what he was planning. I rolled my eyes at my idiot brain and quickly dried myself.
When I walked out the bathroom, Malik had two glasses in his hand and a bottle of wine. I grinned and took a glass from him. We talked out random things, he talked about how his professor was a 'twat'.
Next thing I knew, Malik was asleep with his head on my lap. I chuckled and switched the movie to one of my favorite shows. I ran my fingers through Malik's hair every once in a while and when I wouldn't do it for a while, he would bump his head into my stomach.
I stifled a yawn and glanced at my watch. "Malik, wake up." I shook him and when he ignored me, I gripped his hair and shook his head. He groaned and sat up, his eyes still held sleep.
I grabbed his hand and laced tighter our fingers, while leading him to the bed. It was just a mattress on the floor because we had yet to put the frame up.
I laid down and was pulled to a warm chest. I shook my head and fell asleep with my Malik.
