"Skyler." He said breathlessly, a smile spreading across his lips.

"Hi." I smile, blushing softly.

"Jack what's taking you so long? We're loosing the gam- Oh. It's Skyler.." The one I believe was Sam smirked. I bit my lip and softly smiled, "That's my name." I giggle softly, them both smiling.

"Here- let me help you with your stuff.." Jack said as he started picking up my things.

"Thanks.." I say and he winks at me, my heart pounding. Sam helps to, and I gather my bags.

"Woah.. These are hot." Sam and Jack both wolf whistle as they look through my Victoria's Secret bag. I gasp and snatch back my bag, them both laughing.

"You guys are perves." I hiss and try not to laugh, them both shrugging.

"Hey cutie." Nash smirks as the other two stand behind him, the whole group forming. I watch as Jack's eyes squint into a glare, Nash rolling his eyes at him.

"Hi," I laugh, running a hand through my hair.

"You wanna play with us? We have extras." Jack Johnson offers with a smile and I hesitate as he hands me a game card. "Uhm.."

"Please?" Sam begs, his lip poking out.

"Yeah, it'll be fun." Taylor licks his lip before smirking.

"Hey sorry Sky, Jacob called." Her voice trails off as she spotted the guys. You can tell she started to get nervous once her eyes met Taylor's. "And I was just leaving." She smiled and I raised an eyebrow at her.

"Uh.. You guys can go back to your game, I'll be back in a second. I have to use the restroom." I grab Mahogany's hand and drag her into the girls bathroom.

"What's wrong? I thought you wanted to play some games!" I pout as I hop up on the sink, her sighing and leaning against the wall.

"Well I did.. But not with them. Not with Taylor. I can't do it, I just can't. I'm sorry."

"We don't have to go by them then! We can just ignore them, trust me I wouldn't mind."

She smiled, "It's okay. You go have fun with them. They obviously want you to go with them, so do it. I'll be fine, I promise."

I sigh. "Are you sure?"

"Yes, I want you to go have fun. I'll go back to Jacob's house and watch a couple movies- it's all good. We can make it up another time girly." She smiled and hugged me.

I still feel bad as we walk out of the restroom. "You promise you won't be mad?" I sigh as I fiddle my fingers, finding the guys finishing their basketball game.

"Yesssss. Now go, I'll talk to you later." She smiled and I finally gave up, giving her another hug as we said goodbye.

I smooth out my clothes and let out a nervous sigh, walking over to the guys.

"Hey your back." Jack smiles at me. "Of course," I smile back, his smile growing.

"You have a pretty smile." He compliments quietly as his brown eyes sparkle. "Thanks.." I blush softly.

Maybe he isn't so bad..

The time I spent with the guys were actually really fun. The most fun I've had in a while, honestly. After a while I started growing close to them, and I actually felt comfortable being around them.

"That was awesome." Jack Johnson smiled as we all walked out of the mall, everyone laughing and agreeing.

"Yeah, I think Skyler kicked all our asses at air hockey." Nash said and I smiled confidently. "Well ya know, I've got some skill here and there." I laugh, flipping my hair.

"Speaking of little miss Skyler.." Sammy said facing me, my eyebrow raising. "Are you coming to the party tomorrow?"

"Um.. I haven't really thought about it.." I admit sucking on my bottom lip- something I usually do when I get nervous.

"C'mon.. It'll be fun! Please come, for me." Gilinsky whispered slowly with a soft smirk, his charming gestures making it hard to say no.

"Fine." I sigh, knowing I'll regret it later. All of them cheered and I giggled. I just hope I'm not making the wrong decision.

After saying goodbye to the guys I drove home in silence, rethinking my day over in my head.

I sigh as I think of Shawn, knowing he'd be heartbroken if he found out that I was hanging out with them.

I pull into my driveway and groan, pulling the keys out of the engine and unlocking the house.

Once I arrive in my room I plop down on my bed, staring at the ceiling for a bit. The ringing of my iPhone snapped me out of my daze, Mahogany's name picture glowing from the screen.

"Hey." I answered with a small smile, sitting up as I hugged my knees.

"Well hello Mrs. Popular, how'd it go?" I smile and shake my head. "It was actually kinda fun."

"That's good." She responded, her tone voice kinda unreadable.

"Anyways, I was wondering maybe we could go to the movies tomorrow? Possibly catch some fro-yo after?"

"Sure! That sounds- Crap, I can't.." I frown as I remember the party I agreed to go to.

"What? Why not?" I bite my lip for a moment, trying to decide weather not to tell her the truth or just lie about it.

"I'm going to their party tomorrow.." I shut my eyes and silently prepare myself for her reaction.

"Your blowing me off for them again?" I could tell she was pouting, and I felt terrible.

"I'm so sorry.. Maybe another day? My treat."

"It's okay.. I gotta go anyways.. Talk to you later." Her voice was dull as she hung up, and I couldn't help but sigh once again.

"I'm loosing my best friend.." I say to myself quietly, hiding my face in my hands as I refuse to start crying. Why does everything have to be so complicated?
