Kazuhiko's POV\

---

The blaring of my stupid alarm clock woke me up. I was tired and hit the snooze button until I had about 30 minutes until school started and my running record was 5 minutes. I had way too much time, but I got up anyways. I got the school uniform and got changed in about 10 minutes, while struggling to get my hair right I took another 10 minutes. Then, I ate breakfast for 7 minutes with determination to beat my running record.

After I did the secret handshake with my father, who was eating breakfast before I got some toast, I ran out the door and started my timer. I had about three minutes, give or take, before the school bell rung and class started for the day. Three minutes before I was late for the.... I lost count... Time this year! I passed many shops on the way but couldn't admire them. I look at my timer to see I had 30 seconds left and I went as fast as I could. I glimpsed at the news screen to see there was a villain attack just that morning and was devastated that I missed it. I managed to get to class 10 seconds before the bell rang and stopped my timer before taking my seat.

"Did you see the villain attack earlier, Kazuhiko?" Izuku whispered to me excitedly, "I was watching it while they were there! It was so cool!"

"I didn't see it in person, but I saw it on the news while I was coming to school..?"

"You mean you looked at it for a fraction of a second before having to keep running before you were late?" I was silent for a bit before he look at me with a deadpan.

"Ye- I mean no..." He gave me a look and I sighed, "Fine fine. You're right, Izuku. Who was fighting?"

"It was Kamui Woods, but Mount Lady came and finished him off right as the en-"

"Yamada and Midoriya please refrain from talking in class. Also, Yamada good to see you're on time. How much time was left?" The teacher. who was usually an awesome guy asked.

"Ten seconds! Beat my record by two minutes and 43 seconds!" I exclaimed with a smirk as I put my feet up on the desk, "Now good sir. Please get on with it. Chop chop" Every student, minus two, laughed at my antics.

I'm usually a pretty quiet and cold kid, but I knew these people for a couple of years, so I wasn't afraid to be myself around here. I remembered the first day here at this school like it was yesterday.

"It'll be okay Izuku! I'm beat down that douchebag Bakagou!" I said confidently to my best friend Izuku while with a smirk on my face, "You got nothing to worry about around me!" I ruffled his hair up, seeing as I was much shorter than him, I had a difficult time.

"Here," He smiled softly and crouched down slightly so I could ruffle up his hair, "now we're both sh-" He was cut off by a light punch to the face.

"I'M NOT SHORT! The world is just too big for me! I can't help that you big people are so... So..."

"Big?"

"YES!"

"Okay okay, fine. You win," He held his hands up in defeat and chuckled softly, "Glad to know we're friends"

"Glad to know you agree with me" I muttered with a pout.

"Oh I don't.. I just want to make you an-," He was again, cut off by a fist to his face, my fist to his face.

"IDIOT! FOOL! STUPID OCTOPUS! SEAWEED!" I began insulting him jokingly as he chuckled in the background, obviously enjoying me angry. He didn't notice his face turning a shade of pink as he stared at me, "You're turning red... Are you sick, Izuku?" I put the back of my hand on his forehead in concern for his health, only to find out that he wasn't running a fever.
