I sighed in annoyance as the alarm clock went off for the first time. My eyes adjusted to the brightness of my large room as I sat up.
'No use going back to sleep now that I'm already awake...' I groaned and got up to get my uniform on. "It's too early for this stuff!" I yawned loudly, still not fully awake from the sleep I had. I brushed my hair and teeth before attaching Kazuhiko Minami, my wrecking ball, back onto the end of my hair.
Kazuhiko Minami. I usually just call it Minami. Most people would think it's self-centered to call my quirk my own name. I don't want people to think I'm like that. I didn't choose her name, she decided herself.
- Flashback -
"You're my quirk, right? What's your name?" The small girl smiled brightly while playing in the sandbox near the park. She watched as the big ball picked itself up and wrote in the sand.
'Kazuhiko Minami.'
"Kazuhiko is my name! I guess we have something in common, huh?" The small girl smiled as the design on the ball seemed to do the same.
- Flashback Ended -
Sweat and tears rolled down my face, "Why that name? Why did it have to be my mom's name... She betrayed us anyways. It doesn't matter anyway. She can go die for all I care if she isn't already!" I stared into the mirror, "I want to meet her... Maybe she had a reason for leaving us... She is a supposed villain after all." I sighed and continued getting dressed.
I left early today and met up with Izuku to walk with him to school. As we walked to U.A, we were enveloped in a comfortable silence. It wasn't awkward, we were both just thinking about our own things.
I bet he's super nervous right now!
At some point, I got sick of the silence. So I started chanting. I slowly got louder and louder until I was practically screaming it out for the whole world to hear.
"Ha-PPY! Ha-PPY! Ha-PP-!" My chanting was cut off by Izuku putting his hand over my mouth.
"Kazuhiko! Don't be so loud! You're drawing attention to us!" Izuku looked so embarrassed because I was drawing attention to us.
Doesn't everybody want attention? After all, I'm a background role in another person's story. Why can't people just notice me?
"Is that a bad thing, 'Zuku?"
"YES! When you're screaming it for the world to hear... It's... It's... Weird and embarrassing!" He looked away for a second, his face a familiar colour of red. "I still don't get why you love attention so much, Kazuhiko!"
"It's just part of my daily schedule! I don't get why you DON'T like attention, 'Zuku!"
"B-Because I just... It's weird and embarrassing! Plus, I don't have anything to draw attention to me!"
"Other than your green hair?"
"O-Other than that."
"Your stutters are pretty cute you know." I smiled softly up at the blushing boy, "I like that about you."
"T-T-T-T-Tha-Thanks!" He walked quicker, looking away from me the whole time he was.
Did I do something wrong?
As we walked towards class 1-A, me leading of course because I've already been here many times, I noticed something and groaned.
I didn't go to the bathroom before I left...
"I need to go to the bathroom 'Zuku. Just take a left there. It should be on the left side of the hallway. See ya later!" I ran off desperately trying to hold it in before I bumped into a much taller chest.

FanfictionKazuhiko Yamada, who is Present Mic's daughter, is an average girl in a world full of 'magic' called quirks. When she gets into U.A (Yuuei) in the hero course, maybe something will happen? Kind of a love triangle/harem? Sorry, I suck at descriptions...
