"Inder Gosal, champion of boys basketball..."
It's 5pm and I'm in my room reading articles about Inder Gosal. It turns out, the police never interrogated Inder about my parents, so there's a chance he does know something. I've tried to find Inder's number to warn him, but he's almost like a ghost on the internet; he has no social media as far as I know. I've been able to find one article that tells about Inder and his big win in basketball, however, that can't help me at all. The paper Emory and I retrieved from the station had a number on it, but he probably changed it since it wasn't working when I called.
I'm anxious to get to him; I want answers, but I also want to save the last person my parents knew. I can't let everyone who cared for my parents, get killed by a psychopathic murderer. I know I can't sleep when I have this much energy coursing through my body, but I force myself onto my bed. I lay there for 15 minutes thinking; tomorrow is when I get answers. Slowly, by telling myself that over and over again, I drift off to sleep.

Morning comes and it's 7:55am on Sunday. I've been ready to leave since 7:30, but Emory and I decided to leave for Inder's house at 8. I stare at the clock, getting excited every time a minute goes by. I don't care if Isaac gets angry at me for leaving, because getting answers right now, is way more vital than worrying about what Isaac will do to me.
I turn my neck to look at the clock, and it's 8. I jump to my feet, sprint downstairs, and make my way to Alcity High, where Emory and I are meeting. As I walk, I keep getting a strange feeling, exactly like the one I had at school on Friday. I try shaking it off, but it sticks with me. Panic rises up in me; what if I can't control my body again? I can't let whatever was possessing me on Saturday, do that at Inder's house; it would be a mess, and I'd scare Inder off.
After my little panic moment is over, I know that I can't stop whatever is seizing my body, so I leave it to worry about when the time comes. Right now, my parents are what I should be focused on.
I make it to the track of Alcity High, and I see Emory sitting on a blue and white bench, placed in the corner of the field. As she jogs her way to me, her hair flies in the back, and she shouts, "Took you long enough, Zalia!" She slows down as she gets closer and grins at me. "I thought you'd be here by 7:30, since you're so eager to get to Inder, so I came early."
"Well, I actually stayed put until 8." I take out the paper from my dad's files, and look to find Inder's address. "Would he still live here? After all this time?" Its not like Emory would have the answer to my question, but I have a habit of asking stuff.
"I don't know. But, Zalia, it's worth trying."
"Ok. He lives on Thonburi Street. That's 2 minutes away from here!" I get relieved that Inder is so close. If he was any farther, I'd explode from the waiting.
I start off walking to Thonburi Street, but soon I can't help myself and I start sprinting there. Emory, behind me, is cursing at me for making her run in the morning, but I ignore it all; I focus on getting to Inder's house.
2 minutes later, I'm standing on the driveway of a dazzling house; there's light brown stone covering the front of the house and it stands out. The steps, leading up to the door, are stone and there are words engraved onto them. There's a tall oak tree on either side of the lawns, and flowers grow around the trees. This looks like something from a fantasy. While I daze at the house, a man, dressed in blue jeans and a black hoodie, bumps into me and apologizes in a really deep voice. I forget about it and look back at the house.
"Hey, we're not here to admire the house." Emory pushes me in a playful way and walks ahead of me. I follow her, and reach for the doorbell. But, before I ring it, a man, with a stressed face and messed up hair, opens the door.
"No one followed you, right?" He pulls Emory and me into his house and locks all 4 of his locks on his door. He takes a look at our faces, and notices that we're looking at him strangely. "Sorry, the locks are for safety precautions." He smiles and seems normal so we both smile back.
Behind all the stress, he looks normal; his eyes are brown, and his hair is black. His skin is brown, too. He has teeth that are a bit crooked, and a beard that looks too long for him. If you look closely, you can tell that his stomach goes forward a bit.
"Hello," he keeps smiling at Emory and me. "I'm Inder Gosal. We were expecting Zalia one day, and here she is."
I stand there, processing what he just said. He was waiting for me? "Uh, what do you mean by, we were expecting you? I've never met you until now." I can't stop my voice from being a bit shaky. I was anxious to meet him, but now, I feel nervous. Out of the corner of my eye, I see Emory, with the most confused expression. She's probably wondering the same thing as I am.
Inder breaks my thinking by saying, "We were waiting, for the day when we told you the truth. The truth about your parents."
