There was once a kingdom of bugs by the name of Hallownest were "something" ruledthe being living there, the citizens didn't exactly knew the form or shape of their ruler they just knew that "it" was there.
After some time being ruled, a strange creature appeared it called himself a king, he had a slight white glow that made him stand out of all the other bugs.
At first there was just a handfull of bugs following him but the bugs that followed him had a mind to think for themselves, their werent just a hive mind. as time went on more and more bugs joined in, it didn't take long until the ones that followed the "Pale King" completely overtook the ones that didn't and Hallownest had a new ruler The Pale King, people were completely captivated with the king.
at last the people of Hallownest had a phisycal ruler that they could talk to and admire, and because there is no king without a queen the Pale King chose a strange "bug", no one really knew what the "White lady" as the king called her actually was.
Times were good under the king's command there was economy, buildings, education, transportation methods and much more, with the expand of technology they found out that Hallownest was much bigger than they thought, they found very different locations one that was plagued by shiny cristals another one was run by a tribe of mantis that lived in a part full of mushrooms , there was one that had a hive with a queen, but there was one of them that stood out more than the others it was full of some sort of black goopy substance, we didn't give it too much attention tough.
As i go back in my memory i remember that some people said that the black substance that some people decided to call void was the "reminant" of an old civilization that was far more greater than this one, it was just a myth, but, can you imagine that? a civilization greater than Hallownest, if you think about a question takes my attention, how did they perish?
