~Kiara's POV~

I rushed around my room to get dressed as I remembered that Sam told me to come to his house so we could go to a 'lake party'.

I heard a 'meow' and looked at Midnight who was laying on my handbag while giving me a look.

"Don't look at me like that." I told her as I tied my shoes. "It's not my fault this is happening."

I sprung to my feet and grabbed my black handbag which made Midnight fall inside. I giggled as she peeked her head and gave me an annoyed look. After making sure I had everything, I zipped the bag close enough so that no one will be able to see what's inside, but Midnight will still be able to breathe and peek outside if she wanted to.

I walked out of my room and towards the front door. I opened the door and walked outside before locking it and walking in the direction I saw Sam driving in. I looked around for three minutes before my eyes landed on the familiar car. I heard Sam and his dad when I got closer.

"Aww, Sam.." His dad groaned.

"What?" Sam questioned in confusion.

"I do not like footprints on my grass."

"What foot... There's no footprints." Sam exclaimed in slight annoyance.

"That's why I built my path. So why don't you go from my grass onto my path, okay?" His dad told him as he ignored Sam's comment.

I giggled as I leaned against the Camaro's passenger side door before looking at my handbag as Midnight peeked outside and got back into my bag.

"It's family grass, dad."

"Well, when you own your own grass, you'll understand." His father told him before getting back to work on his path.

"This... I can't do it anymore." Sam muttered walking up to his mum. "You're putting girl jewellery on a boy dog." He motioned to the dog who was indeed wearing girl jewellery. I chuckled and shook my head before tuning out the rest of the conversation.

A soft 'meow' was enough for me to look up in time to see Sam turn towards me. He smiled when he saw me and walked up.

"Ready to go?" I questioned and he nodded before walking over to the driver's side door. Sam slid into the seat as I placed my bag on the back before sliding into the backseat with it, the door closing behind me.

"I want you home at eleven!" His mum shouted and he sighed.

"Yeah, all right."

"Eleven!" His dad repeated.

"Please, for the love of God, drive safely!" His mum said as Sam put the key in the ignition. "Seatbelts on!" She said as he turned on the car, kicking up a huge cloud of smoke and dust.
