night

it's 2am I can't sleep at all... I stand up and walk over to the window and look up at the night sky. I guess I couldn't sleep because I was scared. I was scared... not a feeling I got too often. I mainly felt scared as a child of the dark. I grew out of it when I turned 9. since I'm almost 14 why feel afraid? I looked down at the ground. I was afraid since ciel had my family and friends. I felt my eyes water. "oh please I don't want to cry..." I told myself. but the tears came anyway. I wiped them away but they kept coming. all of a sudden the memory of my 13th birthday came.

flashback

"(Y/N) GET UP IT'S YOUR BIRTHAY." 2 voices screeched at me. I opened my eyes. my sisters sat there smiling at me. I smiled. "I'm 13 already? I felt like I was just 12 yesterday!"my sisters gave me a thumbs down and booed. I laughed and smiled. I loved these guys with all my heart. we fought all the time but I loved them. I loved my whole family.  I was glad I got to spend my birthday with them. 

my parents were wrapping a gift as  I walked down the stairs. the smiled a me. "good morning (y/n)."  my mom says. a huge smile plastered to her face. I smile too. "good morning mom, morning dad." I say as I sit down. my father smiles. "would you mind take your sisters out to the meadow?"  my father asks. I smile. "of course not!" that was my favorite place to go in the (whatever season your birthdays in). I run upstairs and put on a simple dress. "come on guys." I walk outside. it was colder than I expected but it didn't bug me.  we walked the half hour to the meadow. the meadow was quiet as always. I found my tree. yup my tree. I carved my name into it when I was 5 and people never seem to climb on it. maybe hey think it's a memorial. I climb to the top of the tree. my sisters start climbing too. today was going to be perfect. 

end of flashback.

"that's it." I whisper. I grab a pen and paper and start writing. "dear jake and (f/n) I'm going out to find my family and finny. nobody will find me. if I get into trouble remember I just can teleport.  (f/n) I took some food  and water I need it. sincerely, (y/n)."  I put the pen down. I grabbed a bag and put food in it before heading to (f/n)'s backyard to get my horse.
