(This was written when I was really tired due to band camp and lack of sleep. I am brain dead. Do not judge me.)
Ok, so for those who aren't American and who don't have/know much about marching band, band camp is a week of learning fundamentals, drills, and music. It is not fun. This year I switched to a sousaphone, which is a marching tuba. Mine looks like this, but dirtier because the person who had it before me didn't take care of it. It's a fiberglass hybrid, for anyone who cares or likes instruments or is interested in playing sousaphone.

The ones at my school are pretty crappy and gross, but mine is getting washed by my friend this weekend and I'm excited

Anyways, on to what the title actually promised instead of of a bunch of boring information on my instrument.

Key-
What I heard
What I said
What I realized

•SET
•One more once
•You don't have to be lonely, at farmers only.com ... city folks just don't get it.
•Stay behind the person in front of you.
•Can you take bigger steps?
•Open your throat up
•I miss the seniors
•Everything hurts
•*crying*

•I think a quick death would be a lot less painful than this
•Can I get a hoiya
•newbie you're at set which means that you stop fidgeting
•I'm FINE
•I'm not going to the ducking medical tent! I'm fINE
•If I keep telling people I'm fine then maybe I'll believe it...
• *crying at the end of the last day because it hyucking hurts so bad*

•Playing sousaphone as someone who is biologically female is what I'd imagine having a wheelchair is like... only... way more temporary.
•People hold doors open for you, they constantly ask it you're okay, they feel like they can't complain because "You have it worse," you become the most badass "girl" in band because you're the only female playing sousa, someone "has" to help you constantly.
