"Meet me at The Altar In Your White Dress." -Jagged Edge
Liyah' P.O.V.
"Bae, you know about the barbeque Imani invited us to, right? What you gon't wear to it?" Marie walks in the room and lays on me, she frowns, "Bae, I don't know if I want to go." I look at her in confusion, "Why not?" She gets up and sits at the corner of the bed. I sit up and move next to her, "What's wrong?"
"No one likes me." She falls down to the bed on her back. "Yes they do. They wouldn't ask you to come if they didn't."
"They have to invite me, I'm your girlfriend." I laugh. "What's so funny."
"'cause if they didn't like you, they definitely wouldn't invite you. Trust me bae..." I kiss her, "...they like you."
She smiles, "I wonder what the barbeque is for. What are you going to wear?" I look in my closet, thinking. "I don't know. Maybe some camo shorts, a red wife beater, and my red vans.....yeah" I giggle. I lay her down on the bed and lay on top of her. "What you gon't wear?" She kisses the tip of my nose. "Um, I think--"
"You should wear a dress. I like how yo' ass looks in a dress. It jiggles." She pushes me and laugh. "I'll wear my long pink dress, short jean jacket, silver sandals." We both smile.
I move my hand down her pants and play with her while she closes her eyes and smile. As she moans, her phone rings. I stop and walk out the room. "Baby?... Baby, come back! You can blame it all on me", she laughs. I throw a roll of toilet paper at her and run.

I go outside to get the mail out of the mail box and run back in the house. I flip through the mail and see an envelope with me and Jazz's name on it from Imani. I smiled at the thought if Imani recovering from her depression faze. I quickly open it, and read what was said.
I walk to Jazz's room with the letter.
"Imani and Jermaine invited us to a barbeque tonight!" Jazz smiled, excited for the same reason I was.
Imani's P.O.V.
Everybody got an invite to the barbeque for tonight. I'm excited! I wonder what made Jermaine even want to have a barbeque. I guess just me feeling better and us back together calls for all the family and friends to be with eachother.
"Baby, I bought you something for tonight" He yells from the bathroom. I laugh and go from Messiah's room, cleaning, to our bedroom. I look on the bed and see a long V-neck white dress with gold around the neck, long gold earrings with diamond in them, and white leather stiletto heels with gold, white diamonds at the toe.
I cover my mouth in disbelief. I hold the dress up against my body and look at my full length mirror and twirl around in a circle and smile. Jermaine comes in from the bathroom and asked me if I liked it. "I love it!!" I jump in his arms and kiss his lips.
He lightly sets me on the bed and starts taking my clothes off.

The Barbeque
Everybody was here. Marie and Liyah, Carnisha, Jazz and Jackie, Yhana, Yvette, and Mike. My family was also here.
I wish Tony was here though, I was so close to him, like a brother.
I call Yhana over to talk. Yhana and I have been friends for years. Right after Imani, me and her are the closests. "Wassup Maine?" We sit down at the table in the kitchen. "So, how you been?" She smiles slightly, "I been holding up, visiting Tony every chance I get, and putting money on his books so he has what he needs."
"That's wassup." She looks at me like she knows I'm up to something, "Whats this barbeque about?" I laugh, "Don't trip...you'll figure it out."
We go back outside, I flip the burgers and add cheese on a couple patties as well. I look over to see Imani playing with Messiah on the park set I made him before he was born.
Her smile lights up when she's with him. I see everybody else dancing, sitting and talking, relaxing by the pool. It's a good sight to see.

The barbeque is almost over so I pull everyone together. "Aye! Can everybody come over by the door." Everybody walks over and sits or stands. "Imani can you come here?" She smiles and walks over and I grad her hand. "I'd like to make an announcement." She looks at the other girls with her free hand over her mouth.
"Imani...I love you so much. I've been knowing you since fourth grade and ever since I knew what love was, I knew it was you. I love you and Messiah loves you. We haven't had this type of companionship since his mom left us. I want you to be the one and only female that changes our lives...my life..." I kneel down on one knee, "...Will you marry me?"
