Phenyx

•Chapter 1•

    Phenyx was so excited! They could hardly wait to go to Ina's birthday party. Not many people were coming. That was what Ina wanted really. All that would be there was Ina's mother, father, and grandparents, plus Phe and Zero. Zero, Ina, and Phenyx had been friends their whole lives they did everything together. The only thing Phe never told their friends was the fact that they had powers. They knew how Phe identified (pansexual, non binary), and they knew of Phe's abusive home life, but never had Phe said anything about their powers until that night.

       Phe and their friends were gathered around the fire in the back yard. They told scary stories, and tales of mischief and adventure. That was when Phe decided to tell their friends of their power.

     "Guys, there is one last story I think I should tell." "What is it?" Zero asked impatiently. " Hold your horses I'm getting to it dude jeez." explained Phenyx. They cleared their throat and began. "This is a story of a young child. Born into a family that wasn't quite right. They're family was mean and cruel. They despised the young child called them 'it' and 'a mistake'. The only good thing in the child's life was their friends. The three children were the best of friends there whole life. They shared everything! The only thing kept secret was that one of the children had powers. This child was Phenyx. They had never told their friends for the fear that they would leave them out of fear! So until one night Phenyx kept it all secret and hidden away. The End" Phenyx looked up at their friends, their mouths practically dropping to the floor. Phe was scared of the comments to come. Instead Phe was met with wonder and excitement from their dear friends.

        They were so relieved to hear that their friends still loved them. Phe knew that they would catch on because they were both so smart. Top of their class at everything. Also it was fairly easy to figure out. You would have to be blind, deaf, and dead to not know where this was going!
