"Appa!"

The girl gasped excitedly losing balance of the metal tray laying steadily on her flat Palm , her reaction to the aged man causing her to grab on tightly to its end,as it was close to thrashing on the floor. The freshly stuffed cakes came to a halt in the middle of the clanky metal object , slightly jumping, just as her fingertips gripped at the bottom of the tray. The bowls in which the sweet smelling treats were placed, clanked against the tray causing the people near to curiously turn around.

But the girl didn't care about the people's judgemental looks. Though she had yelped a little at the thought of losing her job and the work to possibly clean the broken utensils and crumbs, including the embarrassment she would've gone through from the surrounding people's deceived stares, she immediately shoved the tray down, running.

Running towards his shocked form, arms raised, apron flying and a huge toothy smile clearly visible across her soft,Gentle face...

She flung onto his body, embracing him completely, closing the cold gap that once laid in between.

A happy warmth surrounded the two, as the man cleared his shocked face ,replacing it with a relieved smile almost instantly replying to the tight hug his daughter had caught him in,arms caving in on her back.

His world.

His everything.

His little girl.

Three years had passed since the girl worked in this cafe ,her hard-earned-money-making-place since she was 15,had never been visited by her father due to him being a dedicated chef. But today. Today was different. Her father finally got a chance as it was close to the restaurants tenth year anniversary, and he decided that being there since the first year of the restaurants opening had some advantages. He thought, why not take a day off and surprise her. She had asked for him to visit, that is,if he could. She didn't want to force him just for her. After all,she hated giving difficulty to someone. The sadness in her face had been visible, even though she tried so hard not to show it. But the man being her father, realised. And he hated it. He hated seeing his daughter sad. Sad over the fact that the only guardian she had, couldn't see how half her nursing classes were being paid. A nod of her head and a sad smile, convinced him that she was disappointed.

But he didn't want that. Though she had not asked again,he knew she wanted to. But she would never and he knew that. The guilt killed him. He wanted to make her happy and seeing her running towards him before pushing the world aside with that smile of hers eased his heart.

Arms tightening around the older figure, the man grimaced that he nearly saw an unexpected accident happen right in front of his eyes. He gently patted her back to calm her excitement, whilst words were muffled into his shoulder.

"You came, Appa"

They both parted from the hug, exchanging warm smiles and hearing each other's words clearly.

" Of Course I came " the man chirped

" But I th- " she was about to protest but that smile from her fathers face wouldn't go away.

"Never mind" she sighed

Both walked together to an empty table in which she had luckily shoved her tray down on. She made him sit.
